Retake: Alexander Wang Bianca Vest Bag

Alexander Wang Bianca Vest Bag on model

Alexander Wang hit big this season with the must-have Coco Duffel. I liked it, but I wasn’t buying it. The reviews coming in have been mixed about the actual bag itself, though I feel like the price was so great it justified a little less quality than expected. Other bags from Alexander Wang include multiple pockets and a look I am just not digging. Don’t get me wrong, the celebrity carrying list is long, but a) did they actually pay for the bag and b) I still don’t like them.

Project Runway

So tonight is the main event – the much-awaited debut of Project Runway on Lifetime. It’s been over a year since we last saw Heidi & Co. strut down the runway, and a lot has happened in the interim. Lawsuits, network changes, coast changes. The show is now in LA instead of New York, it’s on Lifetime instead of Bravo, and the production company that created it is no longer a part of its production.

And I’m worried.

Be&D Cosette Hobo

What a perfect season for Be&D to make a comeback. They first did multitudinous studs years ago, before it was popular and trendy, and then they mysteriously disappeared from the face of the earth for a little while.

Their studded bags really didn’t tickle my fancy back then; they were shiny, smooth, and gold, which is really not my thing. The bags they’ve introduced recently have been much better, though, whether they’re studded or unstudded. I’m having a really difficult time choosing a favorite; my opinion on the matter changes from day to day. But today, it’s the Be&D Cosette Hobo.

Donna Karan Zipped Clutch

As more designers break into the realm of handbags, the real contenders stand apart from the wannabes. Donna Karan is a well known label, but not in the world of handbags. Not only are a new batch of Donna Karan bags popping up, but they are grabbing our attention. Looking young, and hip, some of her fall bags feature an array of zippers. Zippers are the new rage, which you will see more of on shoes, bags, and clothing.

Valentino Paillette-Embellished Tote

Sometimes, a little bit of bad taste is the best thing that you can add to an outfit. There’s nothing worse than looking too perfect, too precious, and like you’re trying way too hard. Personality is to be embraced and celebrated in personal style, not avoided.

Admittedly, the Valentino Paillette-Embellished Tote is what you might consider a heaping helping of bad taste. And you wouldn’t necessarily be wrong. In fact, I can’t think of one compelling reason that you would be. But it makes me smile anyway, and sometimes, isn’t that what’s important?

Judith Leiber Parrot Clutch

Of course this clutch is from no one other than Judith Leiber. Love her designs or hate them, Leiber continues to bring us some different insects, birds, and animals in her famed crystal covered clutches. Her last bird we covered was an owl and her next endeavor is a parrot.

The Judith Leiber Parrot Clutch looks to be modeled after a Macaw, sporting red, blue, and yellow crystal embellishment. As we have said time and time again, this would be a heirloom piece which is not meant for every occasion and not even meant to be worn much. Some may argue, but these pieces are better suited on display.

Givenchy Maxi Nightingale Tote

Aug 19, 2009 / Posted in Buzz Worthy, Givenchy Handbags, Totes by Amanda Mull.

Can we talk about the Givenchy Maxi Nightingale Tote for a second? We get the chance to look through dozens of pictures of celebrities every day in order to create BagThatStyle, and in the last two weeks, this lovely bag has shown up more with more celebs than any other bag that I can recall since we started the site.

Hilary Duff, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashley Tisdale have all been spotted with the bag within days of each other, with little fashion fanfare to encourage them to be seen carrying it. So what’s the deal?

Zara Terez Handbags

Last week I had the opportunity to attend the West Coast Launch Party for Zara Terez Handbags. In fact, this was my first official event since I myself have moved to the West Coast. As I pulled up to the Mondrian Hotel on Sunset Blvd I was beyond excited. Representing Purse Blog, I was invited up to the Penthouse for a private pre-party where I got to meet the talented and gorgeous Zara.

Keep reading and take a look at some of the celebs who love Zara!

Lanvin Wrinkled Shoulder Bag

Lanvin is my new obsession. After I saw the Lanvin Happy Partage Metallic Bag I could not stop picturing myself with that bag. Jeans and a white tee, little black dress, skirt. You name it, I pictured myself with it.
