Apparently, all of the LA celebrities who opted not to make the trek to the Sundance Film Festival or Paris Couture last week decided to go shopping. I suspect there are far fewer crowds (of celebs) to wade through in Beverly Hills when these two events overlap.

Louis Vuiton Pallas

I was thinking about brands that are popular but that I don’t cover that much anymore, and Louis Vuitton came to mind. Like many others, my first high-end designer bag was from the brand, and it was the tiny Wapity Clutch (which I still own and still adore).

TS Notice 2_2 Here’s something you won’t want to miss: over on TalkShoes, we have tons of awesome shoe deals, like this very shiny pair from Giuseppe Zanottis–wait until you see the price. We’ll warn you, it’s painful to look at but Elle MacPherson’s Saint Laurent Jane Sandals–they look extremely uncomfortable. It’s impressive that she’s even walking in them; see for yourself! Also, be sure to check out the best black pumps we found for under $500!

Bag: Marc Jacobs Python and Sequin Trouble Bag

Price: $5,500 via Net-a-Porter

Why It’s the Bag of the Week: Marc Jacobs left Louis Vuitton to focus on reviving and expanding his eponymous label, and this bag is a step in the right direction.

Paris Couture Week is such a nice way to start a fashion season. Before the month-long slog of shows in New York, London, Milan and Paris, the industry’s best and brightest gather at a handful of shows to see the world’s most exquisite garments.

itbag2015 We’ve already told you some of the bags to watch for 2015, and Vogue wants to ask you which bag you are lusting after. For the new year, Vogue put together a list of bags they believe will be it bags, and the mag wants you to vote to decide which bag is the next big thing. There are 10 bags included, some of which are new takes on current industry faves and others are completely new designs.

Go over to Vogue to cast your vote to see which bag will be the next big thing!

If you, like me, went to a particularly preppy college, or you grew up in a part of the country that counts boat shoes as a closet essential, then you’ve probably seen plenty of clothes with little whales and turtles embroidered on them.

January is on its way out, and we are wrapping it up in style. This week’s terrible weather sent us in search of boots and scarves. We got sidetracked looking for scarves in Hermès, and we found some pretty wonderful goodies for you in the process.

TS NOTICE Over on TalkShoes, we need your help! Can you identify this pair of sandals that Keri Russell is wearing? We don’t know about you, but we are ready to ditch our clunky snow boots for a few pairs of pointed-toe flats, and we also want you to come swoon with us over this very graphic pair of Bionda Castana pumps. It’s Couture Week over in Paris, and Chanel debuted a pair of sock-like flat booties in its runway show. Also at Couture Week, we spotted fashion blogger Chiara Ferragni wearing a pair of Dior Wedges to the brand’s show.

If you’re a longtime reader of PurseBlog, you know that we’ve recapped lots of different shows over the past five years. Starting today, I’m trying my hand at one of my personal favorites–Scandal. We originally picked it because Olivia Pope has such a stellar handbag collection, but unfortunately, our girl Liv spent most of last night’s mid-season premiere in a cell without proper access to Prada.
