There are plot holes big enough for me to crawl inside of them. But the thing I love about GG is the gleeful wackiness, its ability for it to make fun of itself (and sometimes become a caricature of itself), the the glorious non-reality of it all. I like that I can almost see the writers, sitting around a table, trying to decide what wacky thing to do next and none of them being able to exactly remember how it would fit in to the character's storyline as a whole. And then writing it anyway! It's kind of like a really slick, fashionable Saved by the Bell. For me, I just have to suspend all disbelief. I love all the recaps of GG here on the Purse Blog, but even you have to admit that the "plot line" is pretty ridiculous. It makes NO SENSE at all! I think the single most satisfying thing from last night's episode was the scene where Blair and Chuck snuggled in bed after both being defeated, because it actually felt intimate and REAL. Everything else was pretty much whacked. But with everyone looking so beautiful and the clothes, bags shoes and hair all shining and awesome, it's pretty hard to keep away!!!
