Oscar de la Renta is one of my absolute favorite designers. I typically dress more casually than the clothes he offers, but when I’m looking for something a little fancier, I always think of his designs. Recently, the team at OdlR told me that they added a new handbag designer to the team and there should be exciting things to come.
If the Marelia clutch and Lipp bag are only a glimpse at what’s to come, then we all better prepare to be wowed by more of Oscar de la Renta’s bags.
I saw the Oscar de la Renta Lipp bag in the showroom a few months ago and simply adored it. I thought the covered bead handle was going to be heavy, but quite the contrary, it is light. The calf skin body is extremely soft and the shade of leather will complement summer whites and brights alike.
The dimensions are compact but large enough to carry your essentials (7.5″W X 6″H X 3″D). I’ve been looking to add a transitional bag that works for evening wear but isn’t a clutch and this beauty might be just what the fashion doctor ordered. Bravo Oscar, Bravo! $1,495 via OdlR online.
