If every there were a bag destined for street style infamy on the bodies of Chiara Ferragni and Anna Dello Russo, it’s this one. For Resort 2015, Fendi is turning at least one of its perpetually sold-out micro bags into a hands-free belt, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

Wading through WWD‘s epic slideshows of seasonal accessories can be a slog, but sometimes you find something interesting, as is the case above. Unfortunately, the slideshows only provide photo reference, so we don’t know much about this bag other than its season.

We do know some things about the currently available, monster-faced version of the Micro Baguette Shoulder Bag, though: at 6.25″ wide, it’s tiny, and this bag appears to be the same size. The shoulder bag version will set you back $1,400 at Nordstrom, so I’d guess the belt will cost you a little bit more when it hits stores toward the end of this year.

Could you see yourself buying or wearing one of these mini belt bags?

I guess it works with or without the belt. Quite a whimsical idea.

Still a glorified fanny pack. But I would wear the heck out of that at music festivals and nights out- hands-free dancing and cavorting!

I’m waiting on my Elizabeth and James Cynnie suede belt bag. Yes it’s a fanny pack, but let’s face it — there are times when this hands free option makes more sense than a crossbody or a backpack. Plus, it’s darn cute.

I just received it and for the price, I will figure out a way to use it. It is adorable!

    this is hideous and gimmicky

    Ugh Fendi.. Go away

  • Wilma

Even Fendi can’t make me wear a fanny pack.

The poetic justice in favor of us have-nots is that this atrocity will be dangling from the hips of the ‘haves’.

  • Lisa

Fendi, please go back to what you best, the leather and craftsmanship. Not those novelty joke creations. Nobody is going to take you seriously if you keep on going like this.

  • That’s so hideous, I am literally laughing at the thought of someone actually wearing it.

  • Lori

I kinda like it…to be honest. I would never wear fur of any sort, so it’s out for me, but i bet on the right person, it would be pretty cute.

The Lagerfeld bags charms were stupider….and people bought them.

Stop trying to make belt bags happen, it’s not going to happen!

I enjoy purse blog very much, but have to skip the comments. So much negativity, jealousy, mean-spiritedness! Is there a way to turn off the comments? Or hide the mean people’s whining?
