I don’t think a single person who grew up in my hometown made it out without tennis lessons. In suburban Atlanta, tennis is a way of life; it stays warm enough to play for nine months out of the year (at least), and the sprawling, recently developed suburbs feature tennis courts in literally every neighborhood. I learned to play tennis at approximately the same age that I learned how to swim, and in my part of town, it was a skill seen as just as essential for survival. I know so many friends’ moms who would have died over the MICHAEL Michael Kors Jet Set Tennis Racket Covers.
If these racket covers make one thing clear, it’s that Michael Kors knows its demographic. People who buy MICHAEL Michael Kors’ preppy, sporty, well-priced bags are probably far more likely to play tennis than the average member of the population, and tennis is a sport that requires a certain amount of expendable income and a certain number of sometimes-pricey accessories anyway. Bags, racket covers, sweat bands – why not take things to the next level of ridiculousness?
I’m not much of a logo fan, personally, but if I had gone a different way in life and was still playing tennis in metro Atlanta, I could totally see myself carrying a highlighter-colored neoprene sheath for my racket. After all, you have to put it in something. It might as well be something fun.
