Oh how this clutch has me jumping for joy!! Sure it is winter many places, but spring is upon us and I am getting ready to book a trip to Bermuda. In Bermuda, the island surrounded by beautiful water and white and blue homes, a bright color will surely pop. I have always had a thing for Nancy Gonzalez exotics, especially her crocodile. She uses colors that are so rich and perfect for every occasion. From turquoise to yellows to stunning pinks and greens, Gonzalez’ use of color is what sets her apart from many designers. The Nancy Gonzalez Crocodile Box Clutch is the perfect structured bag in two of the most beautiful bright colors, fuschia and lime green. The clutch is small yet perfect, 6¾”W X 3½”H X 2″D. Most everyday phones will fit perfectly into it and a small lip stick and mirror. While I love oversized clutches, I also appreciate a small compact clutch that will really fit in my hand. There is a hidden magnetic closure which leaves all hardware hidden. All that can be seen on the outside is an exotic crocodile skin in a stunning bright color which opens to satin lining and an open pocket. And yes, the clutch is small, but the price is quite great! Dare I say the price is great enough that I am seriously considering buying both colors and calling it a day. Buy through Saks for $750.

Nancy Gonzalez Lizard Clutch

Right now I am vacationing in the land of the fun and funky; Key West, Florida. People here are walking around in bikinis, sandals, shorts, and soaking up the sun. This has been the perfect transition after a cold but beautiful stay in Germany. The bars are hopping at every hour of the day in Key West and the clothing options are flashy and optional. Everyone is getting prepared for New Year’s here, which, in Key West, is always absolutely crazy. The outfit and accessories that you will wear to ring in 2008 will start your year off whichever way you chose. Will you be wearing a black dress with a simple bag, a mini colorful dress with a gold bag, a couture outfit, or jeans and a tee shirt? I am opting for a metallic exotic clutch. I have had my eye on a few, but the Nancy Gonzalez Lizard Clutch definitely deserves a spot in my list of options. Available in both gold and pewter metallic lizard, this framed top clutch radiates. There is one interior pocket and suede lining. This is the perfect hand held clutch, 5 1/2″H x 8 1/2″W x 1 2/5″D, and perfect to wear for the 2007-2008 transition. This is high on my list right now and perfect for someone in Key West or someone in the cold Northeast. Buy through Saks for $1,265.

Nancy Gonzalez Flap Croc Clutch

Today has been a day of croc, including the lush and stunning Hermes Croc Birkin I saw while at lunch today. After showing both Britney and Eva with their croc Hermes bags, the Hermes gods must have thought they would tempt me just a tad more. As I carried out my new Birkin (pics coming soon!), there was a head-to-head game of handbag chicken. Yes, we walked towards one another, my leather Birkin began to show off her gleaming palladium hardware while the croc Birkin shined in our faces, showing off her beautiful skin. The croc Birkin (and her owner) looked at me and my Birkin with utmost respect, and we went on our merry ways. But I felt a little bit of croc lust, and wandered to the handbag department of Saks searching for croc. There was an array of Nancy Gonzalez bags, looking me in my eye, hoping to catch my attention. Well, they already got it. I am a huge Nancy Gonzalez fan, for her use of divine colors on exotic skins and prices that are not sky-high (with all things being relative). The clutch that is top on my want list is the Nancy Gonzalez Flap Croc Clutch, which is a winner because of its chic structured shape and beautiful peony, pearl white, or black caiman fuscus crocodile. This bag is to die for, just lush and luxurious, without killing you on the price. There is a top flap closure and suede lining along with a cell phone and zip pocket on the inside. I really hate the option of a shoulder strap with this, because it makes a clutch become a small handbag, which takes away from the beauty that exists. So grab this clutch, and wear it as a clutch. My only problem is the color. What color to choose?! Buy through Saks for $1,150.

Nancy Gonzalez Crocodile and Python Satchel

Fresh and alluring, I absolutely love the combination of two exotics in the Nancy Gonzalez Crocodile & Python Satchel. The olive python trim ribbons above the pleated crocodile front of the bag, adding a stunning exotic touch. The gunmetal Caiman fuscus crocodile is a color that means business while remaining completely stylish. There are shoulder straps that feature a 6″ drop and a double zip top closure. On the inside, suede lining and a zip and cell phone pocket finish off the satchel. Measurements are 13 1/2″H x 16″W x 6″D. As we keep watching the price of exotics skyrocket, the $3650 price tag at Saks does not seem completely outrageous. This is yet another stunning bag by an amazing designer.

Nancy Gonzalez Large Ruched Crocodile Clutch

When fall rears her beautiful head, all of us fashionistas better be prepared. For me fall means a ton of traveling, galas, and events. I must be adorned with the perfect ensemble, from head to toe. Nancy Gonzalez always delivers with her crocodile handbags and the framed top and ruched body of the Nancy Gonzalez Large Ruched Crocodile Clutch is the perfect evening bag. Available in either gunmetal or black matte Caiman fuscus crocodile, the clutch shows that simplicity can be the most gorgeous statement. Don’t be fooled, this clutch is a great size; 8 1/2″H x 11 2/5″W x 4″D. An interior of lush suede is finished off with a cell phone and zip pocket. Because the dimensions are larger, there is an optional shoulder strap. I of course would opt just to carry this crocodile beauty in my hand. While black is always classic, gunmetal adds a touch of sophistication beyond classic. Buy via Saks for $2550.

And she is at it again. The highly touted crocodile bag designer, Nancy Gonzalez, toned down the bright and jumping colors, to release exquisite mature and work friendly colors. The Nancy Gonzalez Ruched Crocodile Satchel is sophisticated chic and ready for the working lady, available in the grown up but not washed out colors of olive green or caramel crocodile. The shape is sophistication, the gold tone hardware is the perfect accent, the ruched body is subtle, and the double zip top is practical. No need to only carry safe colors in your handbag wardrobe. Personally, I would indulge in bright and bold colors as much as possible, especially with the bright summer months ahead of us. A shape that is classic and reminiscent of the LV Alma or Hermes Bolide, the Nancy Gonzalez Crocodile Satchel brings a refined shape with a blast of shiny fuchsia Caiman Fuscus crocodile. Because the jeans and a white tee trend are so solid, this designer handbag could be the perfect accessory to make your outfit pop. There is a detachable shoulder strap and suede lining on the inside. This bag packs a big punch, can you handle it? Buy through Bergdorf Goodman for $2350.

Bright colors, fun shapes, beautiful exotics = DROOL. I must admit that I am a Nancy Gonzalez addict without a Nancy Gonzalez bag. I know, gasp, blasphemy, etc. If it were up to me, I would own a plethora of exotics from this chic designer, but I am just not quite there yet. Either way, I have a fund and soon it will be time for a purchase. If you want divine color on beautiful crocodile, your go-to-gal should be Nancy Gonzalez. I am head-over-heels for both the turquoise and fuchsia Nancy Gonzalez Crocodile Clutch. Both are perfect sizes and shapes, 5″H x 9″W x 2″D, and both colors and stunning. The only problem that arises is which color to choose. If you can not get both, which color would you go for? Simply irresistible via Saks for $1050.

Spending a lot of money on an evening bag makes sense to me, if you are a star or A-lister. That way you get it for free. Many evening bags are exorbitantly priced, but within your own range I say go for that nice evening bag, it makes the outfit. The Nancy Gonzalez Porousus Bag is made with a nearly perfect crocodile skin and features special order embellishments. You can special order your Nancy Gonzalez bag, but it is going to cost you. $30,000 for this version, which is the price of a beautiful new Honda Accord Coupe. Car or bag, car or bag?

Nancy Gonzalez Shiny Crocodile Tote

I have never been a huge fan of red, that is on me. Red is really a bold color and while I’d love to pull it off all the time (especially on my lips!), my skin tone, hair, and eyes, just don’t work perfectly with it. It is probably just be in general. But in recent years I have learned to implement it in small pieces in my wardrobe, especially when I need to wear some Ohio State colors (Go BUCKS!!!). Always amazing quality and stunning colors, Nancy Gonzalez has gone big again with the Nancy Gonzalez Shiny Crocodile Tote which is available in rockin’ cherry Caiman Fuscus crocodile. Simple tote design with a shoulder stap and open top, lined in suede, and featuring inner pockets, this tote is a perfect bold red statement. Measurements are 12 1/4″H x 14 1/2″W x 5″D. I am fairly confident that I could pull off this tote with jeans and a white tee shirt or dress it up at night and look ravishing. Totally eye-catching through Saks for $3600.
