It has been a while since I’ve come across a Miu Miu handbag that I’ve loved. I don’t think today is any different. The Miu Miu Matellasse Tote will not be gracing my collection anytime soon. Before I start telling you what I don’t like, I’ll tell you one thing I do like – the color. As many of you are in the throws of winter weather it is nice to see a splash of color from time to time. However, the color should be used on something else, say, a handbag I might actually want to carry. The violet patent fabric with gold tone hardware, two handles would be ok if the overall look of the handbag wasn’t so, plastic. This bag looks like it lacks movement as well as versatility. I mean, maybe from a distance this all might look ok, but my guess is that up close and in person, it’s a no go. Buy through Net-a-Porter for $950.
I like the shape and the color, but definitely not the patent. I agree, it makes it look like the bag is made of plastic.
I love this bag… but not in patent! It would be divine in Miu Miu’s glazed distressed or regular leather.
It’s not even patent leather, it’s patent fabric! Yuck!

This material is kinda very fashionable in europe right now especially due to italian brand Moncler jackets which everyone is wearing in milan and the alps etc. Prada actually started copying the Moncler fabric and has made jackets just like theirs. Im not surprised the Miu Miu bags follow but watch this space everyone is going to be all covered in patent plastic soon

Color is hot but style and patent so NOT! Yay, I bag I can skip drooling over!
Maybe If it was in a brown, it will look not too “cheap” fabric but more sensible fabric that people would spend money on.
But I like the folds on the front, it reminds of the curves of leaves!
