Many times explaining the beauty of something needs nothing more than an image. Maybe it is the lighting, but I would have to believe that this handbag is actually more stunning in person than it looks in the picture. The Marc Jacobs Striped Hudson Bag is made from supple dark brown leather and is accented with tonal leather striped trim. The stripes add the perfect element to this simple and elegant bag. Golden hardware is paired with the double top handles with rings along with a push-lock closure. Adding a little more dimension is the inverted pleat on the front. If only I weren’t broke. Buy one of the new hottest bags via Bergdorf Goodman for $1275.
Don’t particularly care for this bag. Marc Jacobs has some better choices for Fall. The colors are a little sad, and in combination with those materials, frumpy and dowdy.
I second that. C’mon Marc. Give us a reason to pay the big bucks for your purses. COACH sure as hell dose. They’ve got great choices for this season.
FINALLY something I’d purchase. I’ve yet to be a fan of his previous designs because the only difference was the pricetag. The difference, meaning that any two bit crappy trampy store could sell imitations. THIS is a step above and aside from the others.
The Hudson is much nicer in real life. I especially love the “chili” color because the stripes are in a color that doesn’t contrast quite so much as they do on the black and lighter brown version. It’s a great bag for someone who needs to be organized, with its 3 separate compartments (2 with zippers).
I won’t be able to sleep until I have this bag – it’s just evrything I want in a bag.
Oh sweet Moses I just held this bag. I went into a shop0 to look at its large selection of stam bags, but soon lost interest when I saw this one. I had seen and dismissed this bag online, but now I need it. I even love the contrasting stripes, which weren’t really doing it for me before.
I LOVE The all balck version of this bag, but what’s with the price? Sheesh, I have to pass on it because it’s like one house payment.

Marc Jacobs and Coach are not comparable; except perhaps the MARC by Marc Jacobs collection. Regardless, this bag is beautiful. His classic bags are normally around $1000. So, I can see this contemporary design going for $1200. Regardless, I have to have it. And you’re right, it is even more beautiful in person.
I just got this bag Friday and it is fabulous. I got it in “chile” and it is a gorgerous color for both spring and fall, and the bag is just the right size to hold everything I need to carry.
