The start out Couture Week signals the end of men’s Fall 2011 presentations, and since we are nowhere near as obsessed with manbags as we are with those carried by women, we thought it best to defer to the experts at GQ France to pick the best men’s accessories of the just-finished runway shows.

Some of these offerings, like crocodile from Burberry Prorsum and the fantastically structured Prada creation you see at left (not to mention Hermes, because Hermes never does anything wrong), are indeed worthy of superlatives. Others…not so much. Let us know which bags are your most and least favorites in the comments.

I think the Hermès, Zegna, Vuitton and Croc Burberry are the best; the Emporio Armani and the Etro BAG(because it really doesn’t look like a man bag) are the worst

The Croc Burberry purse is so AWESOME!!

Now imagine a planet run by crocodiles and how cool a human skin bag would be to produce and sell. Or a lampshade!

  • annabelle

i wouldn’t mind carrying the man purses! hahaha <3

  • Lucinda

I think the LV is TDF! I need one now!

  • Marianna

I could see myself with that Burberry Croc! The Armani croc is so fab and very masculine.

Some of these seem a lot like either purses or suitcases. I can’t imagine a lot of straight guys would want to carry one of these on a daily basis.

I like the traditional shapes: the duffels (#4 Dirk Bikkembergs, #5 Emporio Armani, #6 Zegna, #9 Hermes, #10 Varvatos), the crocodile brief #8 Giorgio Armani, the structured brief by Prada and the LV portfolio.

Least favorites are Burberry bags (#1, 2), as well as Dior #3, Etro #7 and Paul Smith #12, which are more unisex than strictly for men, in my opinion.

I do not like the Mutch (man clutch) not very practical, or very masculine!

I really like the Ermenegildo Zegna duffle. I would love to get one of those for my husband. He deserves it.
The Etro bag looks too much like a lady’s handbag. My husband would NEVER wear that.
And that Prada bag is impractical. Unless, of course, they did something completely pedestrian like put wheels and a long, collapsible handle on it.

My husband has a black pilot’s flight case shaped exactly like the Prada in the preview, and it is amazing – it holds everything you would need, is rigid enough to keep things secure, and is light enough to take everywhere. I’m happy to see someone making them for the public, as it’s a really gorgeous, yet a bit boxy, design.

recommend a good place to buy cheap designer dress, such as ,Max mara, Anna sui, Armani, Chanel ect.

zegna & LV. maybe varvato.. the prada looks like victoria beckham’s handbag line! i’ve never heard of zegna or varvato but i will def pay more attention to them now! LV keep doing their thing! i love that they are going back to the classic looks.. hope they get rid of the monograms forever.

I DON’T LIKE ANY OF THEM!!! MAYBE THEY WOULD LOOK DIFFERENT IN PERSON, BUT I DON’T SEE ANY ONE OF THEM THAT I WOULD CONSIDER, BUT I DO LIKE THE USE OF EXOTICS!!
