it's nice to see some of the older and established brands finding a place for themselves online. Props to LV for paving the path for many more brands *crosses fingers* (fb)

Yes! Such a good article its all about the internet these days and I really like the fact that you can create something on your own and market directly to consumers! Internet has changed the matter of time it takes to figure something out (like above about the prada purse) nowadays you have every resource to aide you. Also we can now find out more about upcoming designers, one designer that creates layering minimalist pieces made out cotton jersey is Mike Vensel. Google it!

The Internet has empowered people all over the world to sell their wares, without having to go through any "middle men" like Neiman Marcus, and Nordstrom.

If it weren't for the internet, we wouldn't have this site, your article, or this comment. It isn't going away, and it is only getting better.

I totally remember how frustrating Prada's website used to be. It made fashion houses seem like dinosaurs for not embracing the internet. Too bad many have websites that are up but not exactly user friendly. For those of us that don't live in large metro areas, it's essential to have access to products online. Nicely said!

GREAT post Amanda!! It has been so interesting for us to see how the growing online realm has affected the designers and their stance on the internet, blogs, and social media.

We are being approached much more often now from designers that were very wary to step into the online world.

Think of tPF. Many designers actually go on themselves to talk with the customers - talk about outreach!

What do you all think?
