Louis Vuitton Miroir Handbag Line
Metallic bags are the bags to carry this holiday season and the IT bag to be seen with is the new Louis Vuitton Miroir Line. Janet Jackson has been photographed carrying this new IT bag, even though the new Miroir line does not officially launch until December 1. The frenzy surrounding this launch is comparable to the 2003 launch of the Cherry Blossom line, with stores only receiving limited numbers of each bag and the wait lists being extremely long.
The full Miroir line includes bags representing Louis Vuitton’s most iconic and recognizable shapes: Speedy, Papillon, Keepall, Alma, and Pochette. The line comes in two different colors: Silver and Gold. I must admit that I am not a huge fan of this new line, in fact the silver seems oddly reminiscent of aluminum foil and if you have trouble finding a mirror to touch up your makeup you can always use your bag! In addition, if you’re one of those people who doesn’t like to draw attention to yourself with your bag then this is definitely not for you. Another major problem that is holding me back from loving this line is that the Speedy comes with a price tag of $1330 USD and is made of PVC, therefore causing me to question the durability of such a pricey bag. That said, the frenzy surrounding the Miroir line is unlikely to die down anytime soon and if you are contemplating buying one you should call Louis Vuitton immediately to place yourself on the waiting list, so that you can be one of the first to be carrying this season’s IT bag!

Well being the AVID name brand shopper I am…I saw the MIRROR COLLECTION when it was first published in Elle after the fashion show debut THEN I IMMEDIATELY went down to the LV store to get one!
By that time at the Holt Renfrew LV (in Vancouver, Canada) ALREADY HAD A WAITLIST OF 5 PEOPLE for the gold pappillon, So i threw down my credit card to prepay, WHICH IMMEDIATELY BUMPED ME TO THE #1 SPOT ON WAITLIST! I then preceded to the Hotel Vancouver Louis Vuitton store and went on waitlist there as well! (I JUST HAD TO HAVE THIS BAG!) They had a waitlist of about 30 for the gold pappillon! So once again I gave them my credit card to prepay for the handbag…HOWEVER THIS TIME I WAS #10 ON THE WAITLIST!
I waited 3 or 2 months or so until the bag was even launched! And by december I was getting quite impatient because i had to leave to Hawaii that week! Well I got the call from my LV Sales consultant the day before I was leaving! I went in to pick up the bag and it was absolutely stunning! Trust me the pictures don’t so them justice! Well he told me that their location (Holt Renfew) was ONLY GETTING 1 OF THE GOLD PAPPILLON! And that the Hotel Vancouver Location WAS ONLY GETTING 4 OF THE GOLD PAPPILLON!
When I was in Hawaii shopping once again at Louis Vuitton I did notice that they had a silver speedy in the window which struck me as odd. so when I asked the sales lady she told me that it was already sold and that there were NO more mirror monogram bags coming into the Waikiki Louis Vuitton Store!

Yes it is true the Lv mirior isnt for everyone!! I think it is brilliant! I love the look. I see some bad mirior knockoffs everywhere in my city (matte wrong dimensions)!! I would say to truely get the authentic you must visit the lv store! Although I have heard this bag is hard to replicate doesnt mean it cant be done!!!! be weary with auctions sites, got burned once with a mulicolored speedy. real one pictured fake one sent!!! Good luck in your qwest– Got one yesterday finally!!! waiting list is long and so is the wait even if you know people within to pull a few strings!!!

It’s being released in a new style on July 1, 2007. The LV Mirior will be in the lockit style and is more limited than the speedy or papillon.

This is a comment for the strange girl who calls herself ’sum famous girl’ You sound screwed in the head, can’t spell and really need some therapy! I think you are jealous and it is crushing you. Jealousy is a killer, don’t forget it. Look in the mirror and please get some help. If calling famous girls, or any girl bad names makes you feel good, it will only be a temporary measure…there is long term damage you need to deal with.
Finally, I am an avid collector of L.V bags, mostly the limited Edition bags. I must admit that when I first saw the Mirror collection I thought of tin foil..but nonetheless saw it as playful! Of course I had to have one, or two!! I do however feel that the bag screams..But I cannot knock the craftsmanship..even if it is PVC..it is made to perfection. I am sure that there are many out there who would agree! I picked up the speedy and the flat pochette..both in tinfoil silver! I thought the gold looked even louder. The bag takes some rockin..the shy need not apply.
I have just been told by a cool L.V insider that they are making a whole new series of mirror bags…the ‘Lockit’ has already been out on the shelves..but expect to see some more shapes out..by the way…i’m loving the new L.V clutch in soft fabric..comes in a flat silver and a muted gold..wait list!

OMG I just saw this 13 year old boy carrying around the Alma in gold at the airport. I Think he was very well of because he had 2 Alzer suitcase,1 pegase 50, the hard cosmetic case,keepall 60, garment bag all in monogram canvas one of his keepalls was open and I saw a glimps of like 20 Louis Vuitton bags in dustbags! I wish I had the Alma in gold!

just found a gold miroir alma bag on craigslist! a girl had bought it from a friend who’s parents had bought for her.
she wasn’t sure if it was real (but once i saw it, i knew it was!)
i got it for a STEAL!!!!
