Last night some members of the Purse Blog team (Megs, Vlad, Intern Joe and myself) had the opportunity to attend an exclusive launch party at the Louis Vuitton store in the Bal Harbor Shops. The event was a little different than what we are used to since the party was for sneakers and not handbags. As many of you know, Kanye West has teamed with Louis Vuitton to create high end designer sneakers. While Megs and I did try and convince Vlad and Joe to snag a pair, I think it is fair to say the sneaks aren’t really our cup-o-tea.
True, these shoes are rather unique (although, do they remind any of you of the old school Reebok high-tops?), but I don’t think I will be rushing out to buy them any time soon. However, there were plenty of others at the event last night that were walking away with boxes and boxes of these shoes. It may or may not come as a shock to you, but a lot of these shoes are close to sold out! Head over to your local LV store and grab some… if it’s your kind of thing.

I placed a $1,200 deposit to pre-order the Jaspers for DH 2 1/2 months ago, since there’s only one pair for each size going to their store according the the SA. A month ago the LV store manager told me that there was a mix-up…my DH’s size was already sold, but she’ll make sure to order a pair for me from NY. Still haven’t heard from her yet…..
Wow ! Amazing. I love these ! before you buy something always remember to ask yourself this ! Would I be willing to pay full price for this item if it wasn’t on sale? Would I still want it as badly as I do now?

If I had a choice between LV by Kanye West or a designer handbag. I would choose the handbag! I would spend 1200 for a handbag, but not shoes.

At least they don’t have the LV smeared over every inch of them. That alone makes me like them.
Kanye West is trying to “hip hop” Louis Vuitton. I don’t personally think its a great collaboration with Marc Jacobs. His collection reminds of air force ones.
They picture does them no justice, they look far better in person. As for the price I think its absurd, I am all for fashion and spending a pretty penny on something worth while but I would never spend a grand on sneakers but clearly Kanye proved many people wrong because they are completely sold out

I think theseshoesare ugly. Why are so many desingers turning hip hop now. I mean coach and always gucci, but My god. What is going on with the designers, I wish he would of stayed working with Marc Jacobs Takashi Murakami’s, and Ryan Prince. I mean Multicolor, Cherry Blossom, I mean so many interesting Lines. Still I enjoy the new collections, I love the Stephen Sprouse colleciton Its nice and I cant go a day without my Speedy. And the price of the shoes are not worth that they are quoting Someone please recaculate that..

I recently found an online store. the shop is offering wide range of good priced brand name outfit. the shop is listing the items with almost 75% discounts. my friend really wants to order a pair before the holiday and not confident that order will be delivered right on time. I am considering to get those prada sneakers but havent decided yet.
