LV is the best to OWN and to be proud of what you wear! Alma is out of time…classic, charming, elegant, day/ night, with “small black dress” or jeans… you just need to have it!I gonna to buy black Epi – the most suitable variant for me… I enjoy already Eva Clatch Damier and Palermo monogramms, but classic black Alma is a must for any elegant clothes.

Epi leather design inspiration came from the texture leather used in 1920 of Louis Vuitton. This leather is made of plant juice and processed by painting techniques.

Sarah – I have personally bought a Louis Vuitton purse from a boutique in Paris and I can guarantee you that most of their bags are not made by leather; especially since the stores there will give you a disclaimer and confirm that Louis Vuitton does not use leather.

Instead, they use a special vinyl that won’t tear and is supposedly “strong enough to build a boat from”. That’s not to say that they don’t ever use real leather… for some bags, they do (for example, ostrich and alligator in their new Spring Collection)! Most of the monogram “classic” bags, however, are NOT made from real leather.

In response to Trey…Anyone who thinks Louis Vuitton would use vinyl instead of leather does not deserve to OWN Louis Vuitton. Shop elsewhere and let the rest of us enjoy this wonderful brand.

And so we took it to LV in NYC (live there) and got it authenticated. They says its the real deal but still not convinced its NOT vinyl…I think I will tear it up and see if its really leather or not.
