We all know that Marc Jacobs has made his grand exit from Louis Vuitton, and in just a couple of weeks’ time, we’ll see Nicolas Ghesquiere’s much-anticipated debut for the legendary French house. In the meantime, though, let’s take a moment to savor Jacobs’ last contribution to the leather goods business that you revolutionized: the Louis Vuitton NN 14 Bag, which we first spotted on Jacobs’ swan-song runway in October.
The NN 14 will look familiar to Vuitton enthusiasts because it’s based on the brand’s iconic Noe bag, but it takes a few liberties with the structure in order to make the base a more minimal canvas for embellishments ranging from kangaroo leather (which is apparently a thing), to nail-head studs, to feathers. Those bags, which are limited edition and individually numbered, will cost you as much as 30 grand, while more pared-down leather and monogram canvas versions will run you in the familiar low-to-mid four-figures price range. Check out the NN 14 below and get ready to find out when Ghesquiere has in store for Vuitton soon.
