Jimmy Choo Savannah Pouch Bag

Oct 13, 2008 / Posted in Jimmy Choo Handbags by Shannon Mahoney.

What is the very first thing that comes to your mind when you saw this bag? Honestly, I thought of the movie Pocahontas. I know that the bohemian chic look is one that seems to be all over the place. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love the bohemian look as much as the next person, I just don’t know if I could pull of this Jimmy Choo Savannah Pouch Bag. Well, now that I think about it a bit more, this bag looks a little more folk than bohemian. Of course, in typical Jimmy Choo fashion, the bag is made with great quality. The tan suede pouch clearly has fringing, which is all everywhere this fall as well as beaded embroidery. Although the fold over top might look like it just hangs, the flap actually as a magnetic closure, which is a huge plus. Lined with suede and lilac trim, clearly, the bag was well thought about from start to finish. But, at the end of the day, if I am going to buy an expensive handbag like this one, I need to make myself feel better by figuring out a way to justify the purchase at least a little bit. I don’t really know where I would wear this nor which outfit would compliment it. I am sure there are plenty of you out there who can pull it off, but I don’t think I am a part of that group. What do you think? Is this bag worth the price? Buy through Net-a-Porter for $1,650.

    You could pull it off if you’re a hippie and it would be an awesome bag if this was your style, I have a girlfriend who is still in the 60’s and I’m sure this bag would be wonderful for her but if you’re a modern every day girl forget about it nothing you could do would look like you are pulling this bag off.

    It looks like something I made in Girl Scout’s in the 70’s.

    it would be more chic to find this at a vintage hippy store and get an authentic bag from the 60’s. to pay over $1500 for this is atrocious in this age of austerity

    What is the first thing that comes to MY mind, is “why are you writing about this bag?” It’s awful! You could buy one just like it at one of those roadside stands out West (and pay a lot less). But, why would you want one at all?

    Totally thought of Pocahontas before i even read the comment. I get the whole fringe trend this season but honestly this bag for that much money is not worth it. Id buy it if it was $200.

    I love this bag first off. (I live in Santa Cruz – make sense now?)
    I think that the price of this bag defeats the purpose of the bag. I go to the Vintage Fair every month and see ton’s of stuff like this – MOST is for $40, and that’s considered expensive.

    But I do love this bag, but I prefer the Jimmy Choo Fringe BOOTS more.

    Well, I think this is a Choo miss. The bag may be fun to look at, but honestly I do not see that it could be worn often. It does look Pocahontas/costume-y to me also. Is Tamara Mellon channeling Karl Lagerfeld this season?

    i could pull this look off; HOWEVER, isn’t the whole point of bohemian to be chic for less..

    bohemian = handmade/crafty

    if you told a hippie you spent $1650 on a bag, he/she would spank you.
