Jimmy Choo Lola Patent Oversize Bag

Sometimes I like to talk about what I don’t like (with a notable example two days ago), but today, I’m going to talk briefly about what I do: the Jimmy Choo Lola Patent Oversized Bag. Surprise, surprise, right? I’m kinda predictable. Simple, large shoulder bag in a beautiful color. But, to switch it up: this time, patent! Not just patent, but a super shiny, liquid-style patent that is sure to attract a lot of attention. And a gorgeous, deep berry tone that is done no justice by the photo above. We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again: berry tones are the must-have colors of the season, and in my opinion, a strong bet every year. They’re classy, work with a multitude of skin tones, and are understated enough to wear to the office but fun enough to wear anywhere else. Also, I’m a huge proponent of color-as-neutral, and I’d buy this handbag instead of a black or brown version any day. Well, I’d buy it if I sailed around on a ship made of money, because it’s a tad, uh, expensive. Buy through Net A Porter for $2,495.

Wow, that’s a beautiful bag…and it’s HUGE! (Click on the Net A Porter link and you’ll see what I mean in the modeling photo. I’m glad to know my favorite bag from last year will be in style again this year…a wine-colored patent satchel. It’s a Francesco Biasi so nothing near the stunner that this Jimmy Choo is, but then, it was about 85% less $$$!

  • Oh!!! I love this one.

This Jimmy Choo bag is BEAUTIFUL! I am a huge fan of Jimmy Choo, and this is brilliant

  • Wow, $2,495? out of my reach.

Not loving the hardware, looks like Coach. I would prefer a nice looking chain or a different style clip but I love the shape and leather. Price is too high, I’d rather have a Chanel for that price. Jimmy Choo should stay in the $1500 to $1800 range. JMO

The patent ruins this bag in my opinion. It makes it look cheap. Too bad :-(

  • I like this bag, and I like the patent leather. I think it’s a little plain looking, a braided handle would add a nice touch to it.

This bag is hot. There is something about patent leather. It would look even better with Je Marie’s FUMI attached to its handle. A classic silver FUMI with the “Fleur D Lis” or “Lucky You” Charm set not only keeps your high-end handbag off your lap or ground but is the hottest accessory this season.
