I know when you hear Tiffany & Co. the first thing that comes to mind is jewelry, not leather goods. But the brand known for the little blue boxes is fast on its way to become known for its big blue boxes as well. After Tiffany tapped established handbag designers Richard Lambertson and John Truex, it became apparent that the brand was ready to make a major splash in the handbag market. The designers have helped to revamp the entire leather goods line for the house, leaving us with a fresh palette of colors and designs that delight.
I can understand why others would be skeptical, but once you see the pieces in person, any handbag lover will begin to think of Tiffany & Co. when they look to purchase a new bag. The quality of the materials is super luxe, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable compared to others in the market. The aesthetic is all about clean lines, elegant shapes, and for Spring, don’t forget the pop of color. From colorblocking, to reversible totes (which might be my favorite), to classic clutches, the line is ready to be carried for months to come.
After Vlad and I played in the showroom, I felt overwhelmed with excitement for the entire line. Tiffany is able to not only sell the bags, but also sell the experience itself. When you walk in the door, a feeling of happiness overcomes you as you are taken to the dream world of Tiffany jewelry. But once you take your way up the elevator and come to the leather goods section, another experience awaits. I love the presentation, which helps show off the bags’ beauty immaculately, and of course the idea of having a big blue box to take home with you makes something about the purchase magical. From keychains, to wallets, to bags, to a picnic basket that I can’t stop dreaming about, it’s time to add Tiffany & Co. to our handbag list as a brand to watch.
