Hobo Bags (Page 15)

Bottega Veneta Hobo bottega veneta hoboFrom a shape we already know, a leather we already yearn for, and a color that offers pizazz, the Bottega Veneta Hobo is a killer combo for fall. No need to hold back in the fall and limit your wardrobe to browns and beiges, go for some color. Still in the earth tone family, the Azzardo (green) leather is a stunning option. The top handle features lush leather braided detail and tan suede lines the inside. Completely elegant, easy to put over your shoulder, and a stunning shade, this hobo is available for pre-order. The only big bummer is that the bag is not scheduled to ship until 10/22/2007 at the latest.

Via Bergdorf Goodman for $1480.

Bottega Veneta Woven Trapezoidal Hobo bottega veneta woven trapezoidal hobo1 The lush and buttery soft woven leather has placed Bottega Veneta on a designer handbag pedestal. The prices of BV Bags are not cheap, but they are worth the price. New for fall, the Bottega Veneta Woven Trapezoidal Hobo combines femininity with Scala Rose woven leather, a slouchy shape, and a wide woven strap. Brass hardware is the perfect choice to accent the rose leather. At either end of the shoulder strap is a woven leather ring detail. The fold over flap closure stays in place with a hidden magnetic closure. Nothing other than smooth suede lining and in inside pocket finish the bag off. But style and craftsmanship does not come cheap, although if you ask me it is more than worth it to splurge on this divine brand. Pre-order at Saks for $2250.

Be & D Crawford Hobo Bag: Fab or Drab? be and d crawford hobo bag

I am a fan of black and white, but sometimes the colors can be overpowering when put together on one surface. Is this the case on the Be & D Crawford Hobo Bag? This handbag sports black and white zigzag pattern on the already known Crawford Hobo shape along with a leather shoulder strap. Paired with brass hardware and rivets along the strap, this handbag has a funky flair. Not much else to this large hobo other than suede lining and a press stud closure. Via Net A Porter for $1545. What do you all think?

Be & D Patent Hobo be and d patent hobo

Ga-Ga over green? A huge color of this spring and summer is green, so you better make sure you own a shirt, accessory, bag, hair, or something in the green family. Of course, I made sure to buy a green Prada Bag (pics to come soon) which is more subdued than other versions. Take this Be & D Patent Hobo, which is screaming with green patent leather in the slouchy hobo shape. Typically I would think it is too much, but somehow in this particular bag, it is just right. The patent leather is a rich green, that is not any hue other than green-green, which is offset with silver tone hardware. A front zip pocket and tie closures break up the shape and lines. I’m not running out the door for this one, but I know there are people who can pull it off perfectly. Buy through Neiman Marcus for $1250.

From hobo to clutch, this exotic designer handbag is sure to get your head turning. Hot from the Spring 2007 Runway, the Nuti Ostrich Hobo shows off black ostrich which is offset with tonal top stitching and silver tone hardware. Everything about this handbag screams hot. The only addition that I could see anyone questioning is the metallic wire ring on the front, but I think it perfectly accompanies the bag. The inside is lined with orange suede and there is a small interior zip pocket. Dimensions are 5″H x 9 3/4″W x 2″D. Super exotically-hot via Neiman Marcus for $1600.

Mulberry Studded Hobo Bag mulberry studded hobo bag

The studinator is in da house. You think you are cool, WRONG. You are not cool unless you rock out the studs. It is totally ‘in’ to be totally punk rocker. We have been seeing studs thrown about here and there, but only one other time like this. Upon first glance, I ‘knew’ who the designer of this bag was. But I was totally wrong. This is not a Marc Jacobs studded bag, this is the Mulberry Studded Hobo Bag which gives a new meaning to stud detailing. I get it, I get that studs are so BAMF (BAMF is the new cool kid acronym, I am sure you can figure it out Mulberry Studded Hobo Bag icon wink ). But this studding is scary if you ask me. The tassel on the side, which hangs down incredibly low and stands out incredibly much, is lined with chunky gold studs. Literally, the tassel looks like a war weapon the Spartans would use. I would not mind seeing a Spartan, in his Spartan attire, carrying the tassel, but other than that, it is really just scary. The materials are all right, cream patent leather, gold hardware, suede lining, but the overall product is all wrong. Good luck getting through a security check point with this sucker. I am tagging this bag a fug bag, but it is not necessarily fugly, it is downright scary. Studs gone wrong via NAP for $1595.

Gustto Large Parina Hobo gustto large parina hobo

While browsing through my own site, I realized a lack in spring and summer colors. Shocked, I started to wonder if I am feeling downtrodden, and being drawn to such dark colors. But honestly, browse the handbags out there, there are tons of dark shades. Blame it on fall and winter and the fashion world always selling a season ahead of time. To refresh all of your memories that it is indeed spring and nearly summer, the Gustto Large Parina Hobo is available in a scrumptious sky blue or white with lambskin leather. Laid back, lady-like, and some other great l-word, sums up this upcoming designer bag. Yellow gold hardware is not overpowering, but perfectly fitting along with the drawstring top and front zip pocket. Doesn’t this just scream summer? Measurements make it perfect for an everyday bag, 15″H x 18″W x 3 1/2″D. While not super cheap, this designer bag is under $1000 and even under $700. Perfect. Via Bergdorf Goodman for $625.

Let's be best friends.
