If you want to get a Birkin, you need to go to the boutique everyday. I was able to get mine in 1 week.
I never purchased any other items, I asked to see a Birkin ( no Birkins, I was told) so I asks to see a victoria. Then I told the SA I really wanted a Birkin. I gave her my # and asked if she would call me when one came in. Hermes policy is first come first serve, they do not hold Birkins. Then I drove over 1 hour everyday and made sure I arrived just before the Boutique doors opened. I walked in and looked in the case. I talked to the same SA , told her I was looking for my Birkin. Sometimes I would go to have a cup of coffee and then come back and take one last look. In 1 week I got my Birkin and the funny thing is the SA was calling me on the phone to tell me the Birkin I wanted was at the Boutique when I walked in the door.
I purchased my Hermes 35cm birkin black Togo Palladium Hardware on Jan 31, 2008 in Beverly Hills, Ca.
IF YOU WANT A BIRKIN. Tell yourself that you will get one and you will. GOOD LUCK!!

Is it true that Hermes won’t accept any order for Hermes Birkin? Even you have money now, it doesn’t mean that you can buy Birkin. Please let me know if I can still buy this bag and how to?

This is not surprising at all!!!

Hermes is only one of a number of high end brands who won’t be affectef by the economy.

Brands like Prada, Chanel, Coach, Gucci, Vuitton and a number of others that were favoured by the middle class will lose loads of money.

Hermes won’t feel this … the recession will last for a good 10 years and Hermes will still be making money!

i have watched hermes stock go from about $70ish in February to over $101 in May. clearly those folks are doing something right in the business and in the product departments — yes, it’s called recession-proof luxury goods.

can’t beat investing in a bag that only increases in value. unbelievable.
