But what about the desing? It's the same over and over again: Kelly and Birkin. A little larger or smaller, change of color or material, yet the basic design never changes. Neither does the hardware - from gold (plated) to Titanium and any other metal in between, all the way to genuine diamonds. I admire Hermes for their invention of the biggest sales pitch ever put to work: The Kelly bag created for Grace Kelly was the perfect start to create a market of craving by not satisfying it. In other words, it became more and more difficult to buy it and the WAITING LIST was created. And that *craving* and be forced to wait months and months - Well it still works!!! Good for Hermes. Yes the material is gorgeous but top quality croco or alligator is always breath taking.
