Watching bags come down the runway is fun, but I always vastly prefer spotting new bags for pre-order to scoping out a fashion show. Even the earliest retail pre-orders, as you might guess, are far more indicative of what consumers can actually expect to see in stores than bags that are included in shows, which, as you guys recently pointed out, are often super weird. Moda Operandi's revolutionary trunk show concept, which allows the site to offer pre-orders of collections that have debuted as little as a day prior, has forced other retailers to step up their presale options, and for the last few season, Neiman Marcus has responded with a highly edited selection of options.
NM's pre-orders include handbags from brands like Prada, Alexander Wang and Balenciaga, to name a few, and they confirm a few ideas that a month's worth of runway bags have given us about Spring 2014's accessory trends. Namely, like colors like ivory and pale pink are going to be everywhere and backpacks have only yet begun to trend. Below, some of our favorite pieces from Neiman Marcus' selection; you can also head straight over to watch the whole thing. Remember, both Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman are now offering free shipping and free returns on almost all orders!
