12 Things Amanda Would Love to Find Under the Tree This Christmas

For this year, my Christmas (and birthday, which is Christmas Eve) are a little predictable: I already got my big present, which was a new and much-needed MacBook Pro. I can still dream, though, especially on the Internet, where loading a shopping cart full of stuff you love doesn’t cost anything. It won’t even attract the attention of a security guard, which it almost certainly would at the mall.

With that in mind, I did a little fantasy shopping to pick out what I’d love to see under the tree in a world with unlimited budgets. Check out my picks below.

I can’t wear true heels because of an old sports injury, but I often find myself going to events or parties that would benefit from a shoe that feels special without being uncomfortable or potentially dangerous. This sandal, with its low block, is exactly that. Plus, it can do double duty as a casual option.

This new, hardware-free version of the City is not beloved by all Balenciaga fanatics, but the more times I’ve seen it, the more I like it. The three-dimensional cutout effect is achieved by layering two sheets of the same leather on top of each other, which gives the bag an interesting depth I haven’t seen anywhere else. Plus, the finish, size and color of this version is just perfect.

The only lip color I ever want to wear consistently is a true, deep red, but I like to wear tons of others inconsistently, if that makes any sense. This little set of mostly sheer, moisturizing balm sticks comes in a ton of widely flattering shades that are each just big enough to occupy me until I’m ready to move on to the next one.
