True. Sad. Very very offensive. Once a community honored veterans but those were prior city officials now there are new ones. The Surfside Florida current officials dishonor America. They want to park garbage trucks on a site that is a veterans memorial and they want to get ride of the memorial display and set up some sort of silly garden somewhere else to make way for their money driven plans. They want to give away a howitzer donated by the US ARMY to the town because these town officials say the piece is a "symbol of violence". Ungrateful, disrespectful, dishonorable comments from elected offciials who really should just resign now. Military equipment is a fitting tribute to everyone who served and everyone who serves today and tomorrow. But the wisdom and judgment of some politicians is worse than bad it is way beyond the fringe of what is acceptable. Surfside Florida town officials should resign and walk away from a series of terrible flaws in honor and respect and proper conduct. On every level.
