veterans day

While so many look to today as a three-day weekend, a day to shop the sales, a day with no school, we must all remember what today stands for. Today we are celebrating Veterans Day, and in a time like this, when the US is at war, we should all remember those that have fought for us and our country in the past. The men and women that serve our country have kept us safe and brought us freedom, so today while you are enjoying the holiday, remember to remember the Veterans and all they have done for us.

We will be back to posting tomorrow!

Imagine the craziness of a city wanting to change out a veterans park into a garbage truck parkiing lot. True. Sad. Very very offensive. Once a community honored veterans but those were prior city officials now there are new ones. The Surfside Florida current officials dishonor America. They want to park garbage trucks on a site that is a veterans memorial and they want to get ride of the memorial display and set up some sort of silly garden somewhere else to make way for their money driven plans. They want to give away a howitzer donated by the US ARMY to the town because these town officials say the piece is a “symbol of violence”. Ungrateful, disrespectful, dishonorable comments from elected offciials who really should just resign now. Military equipment is a fitting tribute to everyone who served and everyone who serves today and tomorrow. But the wisdom and judgment of some politicians is worse than bad it is way beyond the fringe of what is acceptable. Surfside Florida town officials should resign and walk away from a series of terrible flaws in honor and respect and proper conduct.

    On every level.
When it hits home, local community level, disrespect for service and honor is a very bad thing that we should get involved to put a stop to.

See what is going on with the town government in Surfside Florida with officials who want to eliminate Surfside Veterans Park and the Surfside Cannon and the tribute to veterans.

Do a google search. Find the 9/11 blog. Find the Surside Restore Honor blog. See the facts. Speak up everyone. Find ways to oppose the regime of Surfside officials Mayor Charles Burkett Vice Mayor Marc Imberman Commissioner Steve Levine Commissioner Howard Weinberg Commissioner Elizabeth Calderon. Contact the editors of the Miami Herald, the editors of the Associated Press, the honorable public serving veterans organizations all across America. This insult cannot be ignored.
