With a fresh new year, we thought it would be a good time to try some new things around here. As most of you know, PurseBlog is based in New York City, and we wanted to give you a closer look into some of our favorite spots to eat in the Big Apple. We've noticed that a lot of you love the photos of food we post on Instagram, so let's expand on that, shall we? For PurseBlog Eats, we’ll be featuring lots of delicious food, and of course we'll have some of our favorite bags in tow.
First up, we headed to one of the cutest corners in all of West Village to dine at Rosemary’s Enoteca & Trattoria. The restaurant has a rustic Italian farmhouse decor, with plenty of wooden tables (many communal), big glass windows and a spacious bar. Apart from looking beautiful year-round with twinkle lights that hang from the beamed ceiling, Rosemary’s looks especially charming during the holidays, decorated with giant wreaths and Christmas trees throughout. Rosemary's even has a Christmas tree in its rooftop garden, where the restaurant pulls some of its veggies during the warmer months.
Reservations: No reservations for parties under 8. Expect a hefty wait on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
Price Point: Appetizers from $10 to $13, Pastas from $12 to $14 and bigger main plates from $16 to $24.
Where: 18 Greenwich Avenue at 10th Street, West Village.
What We Ordered: Assorted Meat (Prosciutto, Soppressata, Coppa Cotta), Assorted Cheese Plate (Ricotta di Pecora, Pecorino Toscano, Gorgonzola Dolce), Radicchio Salad, Orecchiette Pasta and Skirt Steak
The Must Try: Rosemary's Focaccia Bread, Orecchiette with braised greens and homemade sausage - the pasta is hand-rolled and perfectly cooked. By far one of the best dishes on the menu.
Bonus: They have an extensive wine list, with 40 bottles of wine available for $40 and Prosecco on tap!
Overall, Rosemary’s is one of our absolute favorite spots to dine in NYC. The service is always incredibly friendly and you're guaranteed to get a delicious meal. If you’re ever in town visiting or haven’t gotten a chance to try this little gem, we highly recommend it!
