We left without saying goodbye! Vlad and I will be in Key West through next Monday celebrating the 4th of July with our family and most importantly celebrating my grandmother’s 82nd birthday. It has become a tradition that my family (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) come to Key West each summer for my grandmother’s birthday. This is the 3rd year, as we have been doing it since her 80th. Posting will be really slow, if at all, seeing that we are on island time and the internet only works at the Starbucks down the street (very slowly might I add). I can’t even check emails, as the connection is too slow to bring in all my messages. So this is what I call a true vacation! We will try to be on some, but if not, have a great 4th of July and see you all on Monday!
Happy 4th and happy birthday to your grandmother! I too love technology and being so connected, however it’s fun getting away and totally unplugged too! I’m heading off to the WA coast here…very fun 4 hour drive…even the cell phone coverage is spotty where I’m headed but oh well!! No laptop either for 5 days…pure bliss!!

Hi Megs- Hope you have a great vacation & a Happy 4th!! I am from the Keys…Marathon to be exact, just 60 minutes north of Key West. I no longer live there, but my parents do so we still visit often. If you have the opportunity, visit the Square Grouper Restaurant on Cudjoe Key. Very Yummy!!

Its great that you enjoy Key West so much. I have lived here 41 years, however I must say I have no problem getting fast internet speed maybe you should try the public library and its free. Come back soon.
