Created by the up-and-coming designer Katherine Kwei comes this beautiful Teresa Hobo in Cream – tPF’s January Bag Giveaway!

About

With the Spring/Summer 2007 launch of her own handbag line, Kwei’s designs aspire to seamlessly blend modernity with tradition by creating her own unique texture by using luxury materials, while always keeping to her signature Chinese “Eternity” knot-inspired weave as the main focus. Her goal is to create collections that are of outstanding quality and timeless designs – much like the art of Chinese knotting that she learned from her grandmother, that has inspired and been integrated throughout her work.
Kwei’s own style blends everything from luxury brands to vintage pieces to the latest street wear to create a polished, yet chic and playful, figure-flattering silhouette. Her refined sensibility is reflected in her pieces appealing to a woman who is confident and secure in her own sense of style.

Wow! Katherine Kwei’s bags are really gorgeous and unique! My favorite has to be the “donna tote” with the “edna tote” coming in a close second. They are all gems, though, and I love the entire line! That’s unusual for me, since I am not usually faithful to one designer.

I’m liking the Anneka shoulder bag in toffee. Beautiful colors that really show off the Chinese knotting make the bag a classic. Also, the straps look long and sturdy enough to be swung on my shoulder without slipping.

    Great giveaway this month! :)

I have to say the Edna Shoulder Bag in Navy is my favorite. Nothing says classic like a gorgeous navy bag! The shoulder bag looks like the perfect size to cart around my life all while looking fabulous.

Terrific, unique bags! We have been seeing a lot of big bags these days, but these are smaller and ladylike…but the lady has a very sharp edge. I like the Edna in every color, and the Teresa, as shown, in Cream.

I love the Donna Tote! Its so unique but would still match everything

  • Stephanie

I love the donna evening bag! It’s classic and dressy, but it would work great with a halter and jeans!

  • Dianne

My favorite is the Edna Pouchette. It’s a lovely small bag that would great for day and into evening. Very classic and trendy at the same time.

As i said before about her bags, i have the feeling that one day she will be one of the greatest designer out there, her pieces are unique especially because of the knot technique. I am SOOOO loving the theresa tote in amber. why? love kathy, love the color of the bag, love the knots, love the size and the prize is reasonable. that piece is TDF. I always carry lots of make up with me (own make up store) and brochures. I also have a 2 yr old and a 1 yr old, and i love to use big handbags as everything, diaper bag, business bag etc, that bag is so big, my laptop could even fit. I’m just loving her pieces.

thanks for introducing us to her Megs and Vlad. I’ve never heard of her before until the “meet the designer” post.

Love the color and I love a hobo with some unique details on it.
