Julia Roberts is a known name and face across the world, and now her niece Emma Roberts is breaking further into the spotlight as the new face for Dooney & Bourke. Emma has been chosen as the D&B line’s spokesperson and will be seen sporting her own style bag in the October ads in Teen Vogue. I suppose her style is black background with cute bumble bees, but maybe there will be some sort of Nickelodeon twist to her style bag (yes, she is the star of Nickelodeon’s “Unfabulous”).
While Dooney & Bourke’s past lines have not wowed me, I know a younger age group may find the Dooney & Bourke Bumble Bee Line. I cannot see myself carrying the Bucket Bag ($140 via D&B), but I do think the Bumble Bee ID Coin Purse ($65 via D&B) is really cute.
its great for kids. No real purse maven will carry them.
There has to be several target markets for Dooney & Bourke. I am the traditional market that favors the all-weather leather and classic styles/color of leather. The multi-colored “fun” looks just look cheap. Who can really tell the difference between an original and a knock-off of these newer styles? If I’m going to pay substantial money for a purse, I’ll purchase one that’s really good looking and will not go out of style any time soon.

Hideous. why would anyone want a purse with bumblebees on it. Its like your trying to sting somebody’s eyes out. i am never buying a bag from dooney and bourke again.

Geez, people are so critical… I think the new line is fun and adorable. It is a nice summertime purse. I would definitely recommend buying one to a girlfriend.
I absolutely love Dooney and Bourke. Their bags are so cute!! I love them!!I just recently got one and I can’t wait to get another one. And I think Emma Roberts is gorgeous and her bag is ssssoooo cute!!
i think the bumble bee line is cute, but generally just for children and teens. i prefer the small polka dot line. i think they are just adorable!!!

they show her photo shoot on Entertainment Tonight for this bags, the line is obviously geared toward the younger generation( middle school or highschool girls)
as to me they remind me of sausage, I wasnt referring to the one pictured above but the rest of the bags that she’s modeling for the shoot, I think it’s the Emma Bag:lol: but I think younger girls will totally love it

I think this bag is cute, although i do prefer the other D&B bag styles. I recently bought the pink tassle zip top tote and i love it to death. Overall, D&B is awesome, one of my faves, and the bumble bee line is a cute addition

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY DOONEY AND BOURKE BUMBLE BEE BLACK BUCKET BAG IS REAL? MINE HAS BLUE FABRIC ON THE INSIDE. I THOUGHT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE RED. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE AS THERE ARE NO PLACE THAT I CAN FIND TO COMPARE IT TO BECAUSE THE BAG IS DISCONTINUED. THANKS SO MUCH
