The 12 Best Bags of New York Fashion Week Spring 2014 So Far

We haven’t been going crazy bombarding you with New York Fashion Week coverage for a very simple reason – we know just the right collections to share that you will undoubtably love, but for the past week we’ve been all over NYC to see the Spring 2014 shows. I’ve seen so many collections I’ve adored, and of course amazing bags. We are just over half way through New York Fashion Week, and through the first of Monday’s shows, these are the 12 best bags thus far. When it comes to the bags, geometric patterns, natural touches and black and white are looking major for Spring 2014. Which is your favorite?

Victoria Beckham SS 2014 Bag

Victoria Beckham continues to define her brand as one of the cleanest and chicest out there. The white leather triangles come together beautifully on this top handle satchel. Truly, it’s a stunner. And we have a review on the rest of her bags in the collection too.

Delpozo SS 2014 Bag

You might not know the Spanish brand Delpozo that well, and while it’s much better known for clothes instead of bags, this clutch immediately caught my attention. It’s whimsical and beautiful, fit for a night out or unexpectedly paired with a daytime look. Thanks to my friend Jamie Beck for this stunning shot!

Helmut Lang SS 2014 Bag

I always love Helmut Lang clothing, and with the brand’s continued foray into accessories, I’m digging it. Black and white with an offsetting python – this clutch melds everything big for Spring.

DvF SS 2014 Bag

There were a lot of great DvF bags that went down the runway. One of my favorite bags ever, the Stephanie, returned to the runway and is beautifully updated, but I found my eye drawn to this bag instead. Another bag with python detailing and a familiar yet new take on the East/West gusset sides.

DKNY SS 2014 Bag

The DKNY show was all about the party, more specifically, the party in NYC. There were logo bags, but I loved this pastel yellow suit that walked the runway with a perfectly matched tiny shoulder bag.

Rag and Bone SS 2014 Bag

I already love the first Rag & Bone bags that came out, but now I’m ecstatic to see the brand continuing into the accessories realm. Beautiful shoulder bags marched down the runway along with classy-yet-downtown totes, and this is the bag that I was loving.

Kate Spade SS 2014 Bag

We shared more of the Kate Spade collection in all of its whimsical glory, and I couldn’t make my list without including one of the bags. My choice goes to the Kate Spade lemon clutch, because it’s just what the happiness doctor ordered.

Jason Wu SS 2014 Bag

Sometimes, a slight change to an already well-known design is exactly what’s necessary. Jason Wu delivered this in a way that makes this recognizable but also updated. I love it.

Rebecca Minkoff SS 2014 Bag

We can’t talk bags without talking Rebecca Minkoff. She has tons of bags that graced the runway and there are many that I covet, but I’m all about the checkered black and white clutch.

Herve Leger SS 2014 bag

Herve Leger may be known for its bandage dresses, but the brand does so much more. I adore this modern white clutch, sleek and filled with geometric lines that are just the right touch.

BCBG SS 2014 Bag

And how about a backpack? I was first thinking I hated them making a comeback, but now I’m obsessed and it seems BCBG is as well. This backpack features sleek lines and a black and white python-printed front panel. Told you there are trends that you will continue to see!

Alexander Wang SS 2014 Bag

Amanda shared more from the Alexander Wang collection, and while there weren’t nearly as many bags as I’d like to see, there were some. I love a good clutch, and a little bulky and oversized always calls to me more, which is precisely what Alexander Wang delivered.
