Paris Fashion Week is the grandaddy of them all, and the street style certainly reflected that. Like Milan Fashion Week before it, brands invited fewer celebrities, so editors, bloggers and street style stars got more of a chance to shine. We slogged through a million (only a slight exaggeration) photos of the proceedings to find the best bags on the most stylish stars, and you can check them all out below.
Sissu Hou
Chanel Boy Bag
A model with a Chanel bag: not exactly rare at Paris Fashion Week, but always welcome.
Daphne Groeneveld
A supermodel with a perfect, logo-free handbag that I can’t quite identify is also something of a common sight.
Helena Borden
Tod’s Micro Mini D-Styling Bag
Shop Tod’s via Nordstrom
And a blogger with an attention-getting novelty bag that provides more questions than answers. We’re doing the Fashion Week Greatest Hits here.
Susie Bubble
Christopher Kane Safety Buckle Mini Shoulder Bag
$1,255 via Net-a-Porter
This is one of Christopher Kane’s first attempts at a day bag, and I love it. So does Susie, apparently.
Ming Xi
Chanel Vintage Waist Bag
Models love Chanel, Chanel loves models.
Anna Dello Russo
Fendi Micro Monster Baguette Bag
I think Anna’s second bag is a Dolce & Gabbana micro bag, but I can’t promise that for sure.
Helena Bordon
Fendi Monster Fur Baguette
$2,450 via Nordstrom
Helena might be an unfamiliar face to US readers, but she’s a popular street style star and blogger in other locales. (Also, she’ll be pretty familiar by the end of this gallery.)
Anna Dello Russo
Alexander Wang Survival Bag
$1,095 via Neiman Marcus
I feel like attempting to comment on what’s going on here is useless because I could never be clearer than the photo itself.
Ella Catliff
Mulberry Cara Delevingne Bag
$2,137 via LUISAVIAROMA
For the unfamiliar, Ella is the British blogger behind La Petite Anglais.
Daria Shapovalova
Prada Face Shoulder Bag
Shop Prada via Bergdorf Goodman
Daria is the Queen Bee of Ukrainian fashion, but that’s probably clear from her totally covetable (and sold out) Prada runway bag.
Daria Strokous
Christian Dior Bar Bag
Model, simple outfit, fabulous bag, etc.
Christina Pitanguy
Christian Dior Lady Dior Bag
Dior invited fashion celebrities to its show from every corner of the globe; Christina is Brazilian.
Olivia Palermo
Christian Dior Crocodile Pocket Lady Dior Bag
I wonder if this bag came with its own security guard.
Helena Bordon
Christian Dior Be Dior Bag
The Be Dior is a new style for Fall 2014.
Coco Rocha
Christian Dior Evening Clutch
In addition to bags, Dior outfitted many of its show attendees with these sunglasses.
Dakota Fanning
Christian Dior Evening Minaudiere
The Fannings could probably quit Hollywood and still enjoy healthy careers as fashion people, in the Olsen tradition.
Emma Miller
Christian Dior Embroidered Lambskin Evening Pouch
Emma Miller has the whole “English rose” look down.
Natalia Vodianova
Another in the long tradition of supermodels with perfect, minimally branded bags I can’t identify. She was at the Dior show in this photo, and almost everyone carried Dior to it, but I can’t find any indication that this is one of the brand’s bags.
Lala Rudge
Christian Dior Lady Dior Embroidered Bag
Lala’s another of the international fashion personalities that Dior hosted in Paris, beyond the usual industry vets.
Hanneli Mustaparta
Christian Dior Snakeskin Lady Dior Bag
A little metallic bag is a great, modern alternative to a clutch.
Li Bingbing
Christian Dior Diorissimo Bag
This photo was a turning point for me; my next bag must, MUST be one of these perfectly small (but not too small) Diorissimos.
Marion Cotillard
Christian Dior New Lock Bag
Dior had a ton of celebs and fashion insiders at its show, perhaps more than even Chanel, but even if it’d been a tiny group, you can bet that company favorite Cotillard would have been there.
Mouna Ayoub
Christian Dior Lady Dior Bag
French socialites are one of the major pleasures of Paris Fashion Week celeb-watching.
Chiara Ferragni
Chanel Graffiti Backpack
After so many photos of impeccable Dior tailoring, it’s a bit jarring to come upon a sports bra and a graffiti-colored backpack, even if it’s Chanel.
Natalie Joos
MaxMara J Bag
$1,290 via Bloomingdale’s
Although Natalie has a day job in fashion as a casting director, she’s just as chic as any editor.
Helena Bordon
Valentino Rainbow Stripe Backpack
Shop Valentino via Neiman Marcus
Another look from French blogger Bordon. This bag isn’t out yet, but it will be when Resort 2015 collections hit stores in the not-so-distant future.
Miroslava Duma
Hermès Kelly Bag
During the past month’s shows, Duma has stuck almost exclusively to two small Kelly bags, which is uncharacteristically straightforward for her.
Laure Chang
Xii Xuan
Viktor & Rolf Bombette Mini Bags
This bag is so cute in its mini version that I’m going to let its charms dissuade me from commenting on one of the haircuts in this photo.
Susie Bubble
Céline Phantom Luggage Tote
Susie looks irritated, and I can’t blame her. Show season is long and unrelenting.
Nicky Hilton
Sara Battaglia Lady Me Clutch
$890 via Moda Operandi
Nickly loves a clutch emblazoned with her name; she’s got several in her collection.
Paris Hilton
Chanel Classic Flap Bag
Unless Paris is carrying a bag from one of the lines that she’s licensed for overseas markets, she’s almost always carrying a Chanel flap.
Rachel Zoe
Givenchy Rottweiler Pouch
$465 via Saks
It makes me a bit sad that we won’t see Rachel’s PFW adventures documented on her reality show anymore.
Chiara Ferragni
Prada Micro Promenade Bag
Shop Prada via Bergdorf Goodman
Bags too small to carry literally anything: an emerging trend.
Kristina Bazan
Chloé Drew Bag
$1,560 via Barneys
The Chloé Drew Bag is among my absolute favorite new designs right now.
Anna Dello Russo
Fendi Micro Peekaboo Bag
Shop Fendi via MATCHESFASHION.COM
You just know that there’s an assistant trailing behind her with a whole bag worth of stuff.
Leigh Lezark
Chloé Elle Clutch
$1,390 via Saks
As far as I can tell, Professional Fashion Show Attendee is like 60% of Leigh’s job.
Helena Bordon
Dolce & Gabbana Sicily Micro Bag
$1,045 via Saks
Invest in some pants with big pockets for spring.
Hanneli Mustaparta
Louis Vuitton Epi Alma BB Bag
$1,590 via Louis Vuitton
Hanneli’s been carrying this bag for the entirety of the show season, with the exception of shows where the brand has provided a bag for the occasion.
Elvira Abasova
Chanel Boy Bag
Russia has an ever-increasing influence on the fashion industry, and Abasova is one of the country’s emerging bloggers.
Chiara Ferragni
Chanel Classic Flap Bag
It’s hard to beat this hair/coat/bag combination, even if you’re not a fan of Chiara’s
Miroslava Duma
Hermès Kelly Bag
Mira and her Kellys shall not be separated this season.
Miranda Kerr
Christian Dior Lady Dior Bag
Kerr didn’t attend the Dior show, but she did take her Dior bag to several others.
Salma Hayek
Stella McCartney Falabella Bag
$1,195 via Saks
Salma is married to the head of Stella McCartney’s parent company, Kering.
Anna Dello Russo
Fendi Micro Baguette Bag
Saint Laurent Fringed Bucket Bag
$2,150 via Barneys
Anna stuck that little Baguette on everything she carried this week.
Chiara Ferragni
Céline Trio Bag
We didn’t find as many celebrities carrying Céline bags as we’ve found in seasons past, but Chiara kept the love alive.
Atlanta de Cadenet
Valentino Rainbow Rockstud Clutch
Shop Valentino via Barneys
When you’re the daughter of a rock star, you can either become a model or a DJ. Atlanta chose DJ.
Salma Hayek
Saint Laurent Lutetia Clutch
$854 via farfetch.com
Salma’s hubby’s conglomerate also owns Saint Laurent.
Lala Rudge
Chanel Pearl Boy Brick Clutch
Dior glasses, Valentino clutch, Chanel bag–Lala’s showing an admirable commitment to diversity here.
Kate Foley
Valentino Flap Bag
Shop Valentino via Net-a-Porter
You’ll be excused if Kate’s incredible Valentino topcoat distracts you from her bag.
Miroslava Duma
Hermès Kelly Bag
Miroslava’s getting her money’s worth out of this little suede Kelly.
Anya Ziourova
Anya Hindmarch Clutch
Shop via Anya Hindmarch
The Anyas have to stick together.
Elvira Abasova
Chanel Boy Bag
Elvira apparently has a Boy Bag for every occasion.
Olivia Palermo
Nina Ricci Arc Python Clutch
$1,790 via Saks
Anna Mouglalis
Chanel Embellished Denim Shoulder Bag
I don’t know who this person is or why anyone would carry this bag, to be perfectly honest.
Chanel Printed Flap Bag
Our photo service has identified this woman only as “guest,” but I like her outfit and her bag, so here she is.
Kaya Scodelairo
Chanel Flap Bag
Karl Lagerfeld always picks show attendees whose aesthetics he likes instead of just inviting the buzziest actresses of the moment, which I appreciate.
Bryan Boy
Louis Vuitton Petite Malle Bag
Nicole Warne
Valentino Logo-Go Bag
$1,975 via Neiman Marcus
Friends don’t let friends sit front row without a good bag.
Kris Jenner
Chanel No. 5 Perfume Bottle Clutch
Kris made surprisingly few appearances at Paris Fashion Week for having multiple daughters involved in the festivities.
Paris Hilton
Valentino VaVaVoom Bag
$2,045 via Bergdorf Goodman
Nicky Hilton
Valentino Logo-Go Bag
$1,975 via Neiman Marcus
Paris Hilton seems to be enjoying something of a resurgence in fashion circles–she’s DJing parties and attending Paris Fashion Week, which wouldn’t have happened a few seasons ago.
Anna Dello Russo
Chanel Shopping Cart
Chanel Tweed Flap Bag
Fendi Micro Baguette
Just another average day of Anna being Anna.
Joan Smalls
Givenchy Pandora Box Bag
$2,250 via Net-a-Porter
Is it too late for me to grow up to be Joan Smalls?
Emma Miller
M2Malletier Fleur du Mal Clutch
$1,560 via Net-a-Porter
Or Emma Miller, for that matter.
Marjorie Harvey
Valentino Crocodile VaVaVoom Bag
Shop Valentino via Net-a-Porter
I wish that the paparazzi followed Marjorie around more, because based on her seasonal appearances at Fashion Week, her bag collection is incredible.
Sofia Coppola
Louis Vuitton SC Bag
$5,000 via Louis Vuitton
If you’ve designed your own $5,000 bag, I guess there’s no reason to carry anything else.
Rachel Zoe
Chanel Vintage Crocodile Bag
Sometimes vintage bags are hard to ID, but the Cs on the snap and Zoe’s love for Chanel make this one pretty easy.
Michelle Williams
Louis Vuitton Petite-Malle Bag
Michelle is one of Louis Vuitton’s faces, and she represents the company admirably.
Miranda Kerr
Louis Vuitton Twist Bag
This shape was first debuted for Resort 2015, but this particular bag debuted on Miranda’s arm; it went down the runway a short time later.
Sofia Sanchez Barrenechea
M2Malletier Amor Fati Bag
$1,741 via farfetch.com
The architectural clutches from this indie designer are a bona fide hit among fashion people.
Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis
M2Malletier Fleur du Mal Bag
$1,550 via Net-a-Porter
See?
Claudia Kim
Christian Dior Diorissimo Mini Bag
That sighing you here is me lamenting the fact that I don’t already own one of these bags.
Elena Perminova
Chloé Drew Bag
$1,650 via Saks
I’m sighing about this bag, too.
Poppy Delevingne
Chanel Quilted Mini Bag
If you missed Poppy’s It Girl days, you might know her better as Cara’s older sister.
Astrid Berges-Frisbey
Chanel Minaudiere
Astrid is another of those French indie actresses that Karl Lagerfeld loves so much.
Alexa Chung
Chanel Classic Flap Bag
You didn’t think we’d make it all the way through Paris Fashion Week without an appearance from Alexa, did you?
Julie Delpy
Chanel Boy Bag
Julie is the picture of natural French beauty.
Alice Dellal
Chanel Flap Bag
Fun fact: When the Chanel Boy Bag debuted, Alice was the face of the line.
