Step into the ethereal world of Salvatore Ferragamo Resort 2013

Earlier this week, Massimiliano Giornetti presented the Salvatore Ferragamo Resort 2013 collection at The Louvre in Paris, France. This is the first fashion show in history to be held in the museum’s famed halls, and it was quite the star-studded event befitting such a beautiful locale. As much as I love the celebrity angle, the Salvatore Ferragamo Resort 2013 collection was about much more than who was there. It was about the venue and, most importantly, the clothing.

Under the arcades of the Denon wing, Ferragamo’s collection waltzed down the museum halls with subtle neutrals and gorgeous exotics that possessed an ethereal beauty. The palette stuck to offshoots of tan and cream that showcased the craftsmanship and richness of the precious materials used. From wovens to laced-up details, to perforation, to crochet, to lattice leather, there was no shortage of beauty. As for the bags, I am drawn to the crisp white hobos and shoulder bags made of luscious crocodile skin adorned by tassel detailing.

The show was all about beauty, and being taken deep into the world of Massimiliano Giornetti for Salvatore Ferragamo. The Ferragamo lady is cool but possesses culture and an heir of elegance that is hard to match. She is the lady that is easy to spot and easy to want to be. She is the lady that many of us want to be. And when the Resort 2013 collection is available for purchase, we can all be her, even if only with one piece of the collection for one day.
