When we previewed the Ferragamo FW 2011, we also were given a glimpse at some of their favorite Spring Summer 2011 items. The Salvatore Ferragamo Gancio Belt Line is the collection of bags that caught my eye for spring. Right when I tried the turquoise satchel on (pictured above), I instantly fell for it.

The main attraction for this collection is the Gancio metal hardware closure detail with the belt. Large whipstitching gives a laid-back Western vibe but keeps the bag from turning too country and remaining fashionable. Suede is a material most associate with fall and winter, but the addition of it to spring/summer bags is both unexpected and welcomed. This season’s trends revolves around maxi skirts and dresses alongside a cool 70’s vibe and this line from Ferragamo will complete the look perfectly. Styles available at Salvatore Ferragamo boutiques nationwide 1.800.628.8916.

I have a question…not related to this bag. What do you think about the IXIA Louis Vuitton bag in MM size??

Love the turquoise. The others don’t seem to be my style, thought. But that turquoise!

    • Turquoise called my name too! That is why I told them I had to try it on and share the pic with you all :)

  • Sil

that turquoise color is really what makes that bag for me, it’s so gorgeous!
the rest of them just don’t have the same appeal

and suede makes a lot of sense as a material for spring/summer bags to me, cause you don’t have to be careful to not wet them with rain or anything like that :p

Love Ferragamo and this bag is TDF. Good to see the brand moving away from the more traditional styles (which I love) and trying some new ones. The colour is AMAZING.

  • Babs

Love the color…but the bag is just too big!

  • lisa

i’m not sure. yes, the color is stunning. but i think it looks a little bit too much like a coach bag or cole haan. not sure that it suit ferragamo’s other more unique and clean style. seems homogeneous to me. but still pretty nonetheless.

I like the turquoise satchel. It’ll make a nice spring bag.

Love this bag. Ferragamo is so underrated.

  • lulugurl2006

I love this colour, but am unsure about the suede. I always seem to destroy softer leather bags….otherwise very pretty tho!

The Salvatore Ferragamo Gancio Belt Line is really a nice collection of Hand bags. I personally love all colors.

    Beautiful color.
Ferragamo has some beautiful bags in their stand alone boutique at our mall. They are never on my radar, but I always look at the bags as I pass by the store.

  • PhotoGirl

Oh, I LOVE this! You have finally shown a bag I would pay top dollar to own right now. I’m putting this at the top of my birthday wish list. I agree with those who say Ferragamo is underrated.

  • Demi

I don’t like it… Sorry!! I think Ferragamo can do better!!!

  • rose60610

It appears to me Ferragamo is taking a more rustic country look with these bags. For a rustic look I’d go with another brand. I have a Ferragamo Marisa in black python and a one in a copper “speedy” shape. I adore them.

Love the teal one (it may be called Turquoise, but it looks more like teal, to me!).

  • Lorie

    Oooh. I’m in love. <3

  • Karin bag4bag

    That turquoise is divine…

  • Chele

The teal one is so pretty!

  • Kate

Love the color, but it looks really large. To me Ferragamo bags are either too large or too small.

  • Casey

Love the look and color. If only they have it in a smaller size I’d definitely get one.
