Ferragamo’s Pre-Spring 2018 Bags Are a Mix of Fun Florals and Colorful Combos

We went inside the designer's showroom to bring you exclusive pics

Last week I had the pleasure of stopping into the Ferragamo Pre-Spring 2018 presentation in NYC. The event was held in a bright, open space in downtown Manhattan. When I first walked in, my senses lit up. The collection immediately stood out to me as being exactly what a pre-spring collection should be—fun and full of color. I instantly knew that there were going to be some show-stoppers to show you all, and I couldn’t wait to snap some shots of the bags.

Ferragamo has always been synonymous with impeccable quality and craftsmanship. This collection combines Ferragamo’s rich history with feminine elegance, making for a playful, fun, flirty collection of bags. Ferragamo’s iconic Sofia bag has been updated in beautiful, rich hues. The standout for Pre-Spring 2018, however, is called the Vara Rainbow Bag. The Vara is a sleek, flap-front shoulder bag adorned with a bow detail and finished with a chain strap. The Vara symbol was designed in 1978 by Fiamma Ferragamo to go along with the iconic Vara shoe, but this bag feels the opposite of dated. It is a fresh, fun take on the classic chain bag. Whether you fall for the Vara in a colorful hue like I did (I’m obsessed with the red!) or dream of it in a shiny metallic finish, it’s hard to go wrong with this updated classic. See snaps from Ferragamo’s Pre-Spring presentation below.
