The Fendi Peek-A-Boo is the largest hit for the brand since their coveted Spy bag back in 2005. Like the Spy, the Peek-A-Boo has been released and revamped into hundreds of different materials, options, and colors. In fact, if you pop into a Fendi boutique they will show you all the available options to customize your very own Peek-A-Boo.

But I am more interested in what Fendi themselves release. What kind of rendition will the brand come up with? Right now I am eying the striped Fendi Snakeskin Peek-A-Boo Tote.

We see stripes in clothing all the time, but when it comes to handbags this is a pattern rarely used. Somehow, a stripes done right add so much life to a bag. This entire bag alternates between beige and black snakeskin. The inside matches with its beige and black striped lining as well.

When many people see the Peek-A-Boo being used in person, they think someone has left the bag open by accident. But this, dear PurseBloggers, is the point of the design. Buy via Neiman Marcus for $5,700.

It looks kind of weird! I rather it would be everything in snakeskin haha

The entire outside is all snakeskin

      • Kelly

i mean everything in snakeskin original color, not the black strip

Yea, the stripe pattern is harsh on your eyes

How come this one is more expensive than the other python bag that has the blinking black things all over the bag (what do u call that???)

    • lula

That should be a mini size I suppose?

  • Vitta

Frankly, I could never understand the appeal of the Peek-a-Boo. It just looks so impractical to me – fashion at the expense of function. Not a fan, sorry.

    • Kelly

i like how peekaboo looks in the picture, but not carry it one, it feels like people can take your stuff from the purse anytime haha

  • 19yearslater

Ohh, ahh. I can forgive the snakeskin because I love the stripes so freakin’ much.

  • Ellen

I disagree with the other commenters. I think that the combinations of colors and the Python make this bag stand out, not to mention the clever interior.

  • Tonya

Hmmm, I’m still on the fence about it this one…

  • XXAL

I’m notfond of fendi purses but the peekaboo is definitely a nice piece! Too bad it is q little too mature for me.. And expensive. But I remembering seeing someone carrying this one time and it was beautiful!

  • XXAL

Not In this snakeskin one though btw. But I’m sure this would look younger and fun as well

  • edoardo

While Fendi produces beautiful bags the personnel that I came across at Fendi boutiques in major department stores as well as personnel in their Fifth Avenue Store were inadequate, obnoxious and down right insulting. I purchased a spybag and within two months of use the leather was totally destroyed(frayed, color etc-obviously something had happened in the tanning process with the leather) and they had the audacity to tell me that that was how it was supposed to be, as if I had never purchased a designer bag in my life.(I am lucky enough to have quite the lovely collection of designer bags and am quite familiar with them.) The fendi rep kept insisting that that the bag was supposed to look destroyed within two months of use. (As if I had never seen anyone else with the same bag in my life as well.)She was refusing to refund my money. If it wasn’t for the fact that I had purchased the bag at a major department store I would have never gotten my money back. Then when the store took the bag back she refused to sell me a new Fendi not necessarily a spybag, but even a basic cloth bag, telling me they were all out. Then I went to the Fifth Avenue store to look at bags and the people couldn’t’ get off their rear ends from behind the counter to even show me where the spy bags were. I suppose when you are spending 3000 on a bag they don’t have to work for their commission.

Needless to say I have never been so ill treated in any high end store and have never returned to Fendi. Which makes Louis Vuitton, Chloe, and Jimmy Choo really really happy.

I love the Peek-a-Boo bag in this alliteration. It reminds me of the old school Fendi bags from about 20 years ago.
I am surprised to hear about rudeness in the Fendi store. I tell them that I am a teacher and just came in to look at the bags because I can’t afford them. The sales person even took one out of the case so that I could get a closer look at it. She was very nice. Even though the store was empty, I was still surprised that anyone gave me the time of day.

    • EKB

The rudeness shocked the heck out of me too…

  • Candace

Erm…no. This just looks wrong! It reminds me of a stylized bag you’d have to match a jail-like jumpsuit…

  • Leda

yes, I´m really surprised to hear about the presumed rudness behavior of the sellers in some FENDI stores, becouse I´m a happy cliente of some fabulous boutiques of this great “maison” around the world, specialy in Italy, Rome and Milan,I was very well attended by its personel.
Some of then gave me hers full time of a day simply to choose the colour, or the size of my beautiful and unlike any other FENDI bags, Peekaboo. And all that always with a smiles and something funny to say, just to make us smile, and never, ever, tired to tell about FENDI history, and owners, and everything …
That´s one of the reasons I keep saying ” I love FENDI”

  • JAYDOLL

    I love it!!LOVE THE DETAIL!
