This may surprise some people, but I don't disagree with you. The kinds of materials that Stella has made a career of working with are very difficult to sew and tailor effectively, and if she's mastered that, then she's definitely got the chops to make great clothes. What I question is whether or not she's going to be able to mix her own aesthetic into a more high-end, conceptual look. If she can do it, wonderful, they'll be awesome clothes. And this team challenge outfit may be the start of her doing that.

And I really hope it is, because I think Stella is easily the funniest designer on the show, and I'd like to have her around for a lot longer.

Oh Amanda, your recap is the best on the net! Cheers to Pinot Grigio! I seriously think that Daniel should look up "impeccable taste" in Tim's dictionary, though.

I know everyone who watches PR is going to disagree with me, but I *love* Stella. I've seen comments by people on other boards/blogs who think they _so know_ the world of couture, and are aghast by her, but I think the world of couture often gets way too full of itself.

Established designers often look to and riff on the world of rock and roll over and over, so why not have someone who lives and breathes it come in and add some more "leatha" to the equation?

I think Stella has it in her to take what she knows about rock clothing and work it into high end fashion. I think of PR as a learning experience for her ('cause she won't win), a chance for her to be introduced to a different way of thinking about clothes, and a chance for other people to rein her in.

I also think she's the funniest contestant on the show- everyone else is so catty and caught up in their own very high self-esteem of themselves.

love Stella... love!!!

Jerell and Stella were freaking amazing together, and, like Amanda, I don't really care for either alone. They should just be a team for the rest of the season. And power to Korto for putting straight-guy Joe in his place.

I can't wait for next week's challenge. The mousy girl might be in trouble next week given her minimalist aesthetic. Kenley didn't allow Keith to go all carazy and that won him the challenge. Jerell and Stella also worked great togehter. Daniel seems really vulnerable under pressure and hopefully he can get it all together.

I seriously cracked up when Daniel started talking about his impeccable taste and Kenley blurted out laughing. The top Suede made was definitely my favorite piece from the episode, it was unfortunate they didn't pair it with something more evening appropriate.
