Jimmy Choo for H&MThis news is just what I wanted to hear today. H&M has a long and well-publicized history of collaborations with high-end designers, but until now, all of those designers had been most well-known for their clothes. Taking things in a slightly different direction, H&M will feature shoes, accessories, AND clothes (CLOTHES?!?!) designed by the folks at Jimmy Choo in select stores this November.

This is the first time that one of the Swedish chain’s designer capsule collections has focused on shoes and accessories (reports are that the clothes will be designed to “compliment” them), and the very idea makes me weep for my weak ankles, one of which I would surely destroy by trying to buy and wear any of the suddenly affordable Choos that are soon to come our way (old soccer accident, the story is gruesome, you don’t want to know). I’m hoping against hope that they make some flats for those like me, but the teaser image that we have shows two high heels, both of which are quite a bit more intricate than I would have expected for a collection like this. And is that the corner of a very shiny clutch that I see peeking out of the frame there? Because if it is, God help me, I will be the first one in line if any of the Atlanta-area H&Ms carry this line. No word on which stores will have it yet (when we find out, we’ll let you know!), but my guess is only the largest and most flagship-y of the locations will see these beauties. November 14, hurry up and get here.

I like the shoes, but I would never buy them. I am to afraid that I would end up on my butt!

I hate it when high end designers do this…I am a huge Choo fan, and this news is not good.

    • Claudia

Iam so disgusted and disapointed by this comment…to realize there are people so vain.

I can afford JC but if it is cheaper what is wrong with buying the cheap one….there are the same shoes, same quality same everything…Is like the coats in Turkey the guy starts saling it in 2500usd and end up asking 900 and is the same coat…I mean if You like “IT” buy it because you beleave on it no because what people will think of you when they see you wearing it.

What are you leaving for this world when you die…..JC or something more deep.

it is more wise to save money for travel that and it ….is the same as the beer: I love beer and I will not buy expensive or exotic beer because what people will think of me… I will buy it because I like beer…I don’t care of what people think …..if I am buying cheap or expensive and that don’t make me a better or worst PERSON…is a shame people think this way.
      Sorry if someone feel offended

      • don’t be fooled

from personal experience of owning shoes from both original jimmy choos and h&m there is a WHOLE lot of difference between the quality of the originals and H&M. I mean it is awesome that H&M is collaborating with high end brands but I just hope people out there is not gonna be fool by the ads they create to trick people thinking that is gonna be all that the same at all. The idea is the same with ” women wearing jimmy choos are glamourous and sexy” but if you’re tried on real ones is just not the same at all. The reason that there is price difference is because the original’s sole was designed with specific measurements and angles so to create more comfort for walking ( is quite complicated) and H&M are just mass quantity ( although they claim is limited edition is still a lot more than original jimmy choo production number) and the style might be there but the leather quality, the heels’s strength support, sole is just not made as well. The quality of shoes is important right? cause people use their feet everyday to walk and is important to keep it healthy and wear the right shoes especially high heels cause otherwise the heel might just break and might spring your ankle cause the heel support is not right.

Personally I’m studying footwear design right now which is the same course and same school Jimmy Choo went to so I’m not just writing it in my own opinion but more my own specialize knowledge.

      • Claudia

So full of s…. how healthy could it be on wearing hig heels????

    • Wise woman

I understand what Claudia say and I TOTALLY agree about it… don’t be fooled girl you are talking about other topic but clauida is saying that: the gap is so big on paying a $99 pair of shoes versus a $800 from the same designer is so ridiculous. I understand that is not the same buying in payless (very low quality) than in coach(middle quality) but with JC you are buying status not the shoe…that’s is Clauidia’s point.
Love this site u can talk open and love the fact.
      Best regards 4 both

What a sad person you are.

  • Denise

I’m so excited to see what Choo creates!

    • Claudia

      You are so Lovely

  • Rashida

I can afford a Jimmy Choo shoe! Woo Hoo! The only thing is that there are no H&M in Texas lol! The closest one is in California and Atlanta (Boo Hoo!)

  • fresh

ugh… why would anyone want $60 jimmy choos… this is disappointing…

    • Claudia

      So vain

      • Claudia

Why anyone wouldn’t is equally disappointing

    • cdnangel

Ugh? That’s very small of you.

  • Ms. Carmichael

Whats the problem with a designer wanting to make a more affordable line for people who r less fortunate and cannot afford $600 for a pair of shoes but has a love for good shoes… and now can afford them. I dont really see the problem with it. i just hate when people feel like they are to good to buy shoes out of somewhere like H&M if u want to keep paying $600 then go right ahead i know they are not going to stop selling them. but all that matters is that u know how much they cost so it doesnt really matter how much u paid for them…

    • Sabrina

EXACTLY! I agree 100%. It’s not like it’s a knockout of jimmy choo, it’s the same shoe, same qualitiy but more affordable! What’s wrong with that? So if u see 2 of the same jimmy choo shoes 1 for $800 and the other one for $149 u would buy the $800? Just because it’s gonna make it more valuable? that’s ridiculous. For all of you spoiled little girls that only care about showing off how much u paid for expensive brand name shoes need to grow up. We’re in recession time people, and like Ms. Carmichael said, this benefitts a lot of people who have a good taste and yet are unfurtanate of affording those expensive items.

      • Sabrina

*knockoff* is what i meant lol

      • don’t be fooled

you obviously are lack of intelligence why don’t you just buy shoes from wal mart. clearly the quality not the same. I think the ads have fooled too many people like you. Not everybody buy for show off but the quality. And put it that way you think $149 is a good deal to buy H&M jimmy choos which is not even the same quality but H&M quality that just has similar designs to original and you pay even more than just a normal pair of H&M shoes? Is not unfortunate for people who can’t buy the originals because if they are smart and sensible they should know that for $149 you can actuually easy buy a pair of original Jimmy Choo when is on sale.

      • cdnangel

        Well put :)

  • Leslie

its not like its going to be the same higher quality material.
thats the difference between the H&M line than the original.
H&M quality of clothing sucks! its cute and cheap lasts for about 6 months or less. probably going to be the same with the shoes, well longer than six months but not forever.

  • Natasha G

I don’t have a problem with a designer being secure in his craft where he is able to let others who might never ever have been aware of his line due to the price and stores his product are affiliated with or in. I think it will bring new fans that will want to one day buy a more expensive shoe down the line.

Ok DbF…stop being so negative, I go by my instinct and that works fine for me.

I’m a guy and I bought the brown weekend bag in the H&M store here in Göteborg, the first thing I noticed when I picked it up was how heavy the quality of the leather is, I have the usual Björn Borg’s but they dont compare and I will be honest, I expected a much cheaper quality at those prices.

I was pleasantly surprised and I hope that most of you out there are, cudoos to Jimmy Choo and H&M.

  • Claire

Congratulations Tamara Mellon!! You’ve just turned Jimmy Choo into a chav label….
