I don’t want to be called a snob but I don’t care much for Carlos Falchi bags since I saw him selling them on one of those shopping netwroks on the TV. I don’t have anything against home shopping, it is just that regardless of the price or quality all of his bags are labeled Carlos Falchi. He sould come up with two lines like Marc Jacobs.

I’ve personally ordered his “cheaper” exotics off of Home Shopping network and returned them. The skin was nice but cheaply made. I think someone had their comment removed for saying that and I’m stating that it is true. Maybe shell out the dough for this line, but definitely stay away from the cheaper one. it’s not a good deal.

I have this bag but in a different color (beige,brown,dark brown)
It is indeed very slouchy. The lining is a smooth floral printed (i don’t really know what the material is) fabric (it feels substantial – maybe a poly – cotton blend). I’m thinking the floral fabric was intended to go with the casual shape and the Boho vibe of the bag.

actually i am in the exotic bag business myself. i do know how much these stuff cost. I haven’t really seen the inside of this bag but it sounds/looks like a lot of these designer bags are really cheaply made. the inner lining of the bag costs nothing, be it suede (which is a current hip trend) or lamb leather.

To me exotic bags are all about independence and uniqueness. Whether it’s a designer one or not doesn’t bother me anymore. Anyone interested can take a look at my album:

This bag is the perfect everyday bag – if you’re rich enough to buy it. I agree with you on the lining not being luxe enough. After all, if you are going to pay that much for a bag, the lining should be at least satin!

This shape never goes away and for good reason. It is so comfortable, so slouchy, so chic, that is has now become timeless. This timelessness is owed to Jessica Simpson. When she started using that Devi Kroell gold python bag, it was suddenly everywhere. The hobo was born, and she had a favorite bag. Love this one. I’m not sure if I’m keen on Falchi so blatantly making a step into it-bag territory, but it will probably sell like gangbusters and make him a boatload of money.

I too love this bag however I haven’t had a chance to see it in person and when I was shopping online with Neiman Marcus I noticed the same bag in leather so I thought I’d order the leather bag for my first Carlos Falchi bag. The price is very reasonable and I’m sure the quality is just as nice as the more expensive exotic bags he makes. We’ll see.
