PurseBlog and Botkier Exclusive Handbag Collaboration

We have been working on this collaboration for months are are happy to finally be bringing you news of it. PurseBlog is teaming up with Botkier to design an exclusive PurseBlog and Botkier handbag. This handbag will be created by all of you, having choices for the silhouette, leather, and hardware. After this initial round of voting, Botkier will mock up a couple of options for the next stage. Once that is completed, Botkier will be making and selling the PurseBlog + Botkier Limited Edition Handbag on their website.
The first stage is voting on the initial categories. Monica Botkier and her team have picked out four styles, leathers, and hardware options for you all to vote on. Some of the styles are not in production right now and the leathers are exclusive for PurseBlog, none have been used before. This will truly be a one of a kind design when it is complete!
Silhouettes: The Taylor Crossbody is a beloved bag by the PurseBlog team and Botkier team alike with its roomy body with the perfect tasseled-touch. The Uma Satchel features a ruched body with double top handles and an option shoulder strap. The Trigger Satchel is a fan favorite, showcasing zippered detail on the front of the bag. Lastly convertible and extremely usable Sasha Duffle went platinum with the likes of Angelina Jolie carrying it.

Leathers: The leather options for this exclusive collaboration are exciting. We have talked about the high quality materials Botkier uses before which remains true for this collaboration. All choices are exclusive for PurseBlog and include a glossy copper snake double foiling calfskin which appears in the yellow, brown, and goldtone family. Then there is the black lizard embossed lambskin, a super supple option with a nice dimensional touch. Also there is distressed grey washed lambskin. Lastly a taupe-red color with the diamond mauve laser cut lambskin.

This is exciting!! Though I didn’t vote for the Sasha (which I love and hope it makes a comeback), with the leathers available I thought the Uma would look gorgy in an embossed lizard.
Just looked at the results…it seems as though people want a grey sasha duffle with gunmetal hardware. Would probably be an easy sell, but everything was grey this season and I want to see some color!
I’m a big fan of Botkier so this is super exciting! Any of those combinations will be stunning!

This is fantastic! I have an idea for the next time you do this. It would be great if you had an interactive area where you could see your choices on the bag…so, if you picked black lizard, the bag would show on the page with that color, same with the hardware, etc. Then you could switch it around to figure out what looks best–then vote.

First time I’ve voted in one of these polls, I went for the Taylor crossbody in distressed grey with gunmetal hardware. Would love to see this produced, as one can never have too many messenger bags, a I have recently learnt…..they’re so practical! Sasha Medium Duffle, in Copper Snake, & Gunmetal hardware.. Would total rock…
Its funny how we all think the same. I would LOOOVE to see the Sasha duffel in a smaller size with the Copper Snake with satin gold hardware. It would be functional, yet undeniably gorgeous and a total head turner!!! I mean copper snake is sooooo lux. But I really voted for the distressed grey leather on that medium duffle. Mmmm all that beautiful soft distressed lamb skin with that shiny gunmetal hardware. I’m sure it will be perfect.
Can’t wait to see what the bag looks like. I am sure it will be beautiful.

Yay! I chose all the things that are winning atm: Grey Sasha in gunmetal. I have the Sasha in black patent and love it so much, it’s the most practical shape of bag and v glam in patent, I wear it with my bright red Tommy Hilfiger duffle coat. I’m in the market for a new bag though and would def consider buying anoher Sasha in a calmer matte leather style.
