Diane von Furstenberg Floral Tote

After spending the long weekend in Key West, it is extremely evident to me that everyone has spring and summer on their minds. Everyone in Key West did at least, as the temperatures reached a balmy 85 degrees and the un-sightly sweat marks on everyones shirts were out in full force on the island. What I know I need for this summer is a great beach tote. It is the beach, and because of this, I refuse to pay huge amounts of money for a bag that can be ruined. Even if I had unlimited funds, I wouldn’t buy a bag that I could ruin just to lug to the wet and sandy beach. I ran across this exclusive Diane von Furstenberg Floral Tote which is covered in Fiji flowers and warm blues and browns. The best part about this tote is that 10% of the proceeds from each sale will benefit Dress for Success (an international, not-for-profit organization offering services designed to help disadvantaged women find jobs and remain employed). This bag is cute, cheap, and large enough to carry many of your necessities, 21″W X 14″H X 8″D. Buy exclusively for $45 via Saks.

Diane von Furstenberg Heart Bag
If you had $36,000 spare dollars, which would you buy?

The hoopla behind the Diane von Furstenberg Wrap Dresses has yet to die down. It may have taken a small itsty-bitsy step down, but it is far from falling. To me, this is still what DVF is known for, her wrap dresses and sultry apparel line. Who would have known she makes accessories, and enormously pricey ones at that. I am all for thinking outside of the box and following your heart, and DVF does just that, follows her heart full of gold to design the Diane von Furstenberg Heart Bag. Now I am pretty sure Diane herself is not slaving for two months over creating this bag, but this piece of art is created by a master goldsmith over a two month time period. The amount of gold is astronomical for a handbag, or just to own. Merely half a foot in diameter, the gold heart bag is lined with lush black suede and features a silk black strap. Some of you thought the Judith Leiber Bag was only to be looked at, well now what do you think of this? Personally, give me $36k to spare and I’d much rather opt for a stunning BMW 328i Coupe and still have $700 to spare. If you are high rolling, buy this masterpiece of gold art through DVF for $36,000.

What would you buy with $36,000?

{Thanks Caitlin!}

A woman who means business, Diane von Furstenberg sent her Fall 2007 line on the runway keeping it practical and true to her roots.

Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2007

Beginning with what she knows works, DVF sent out a black signature wrap dress in ruffled taffeta which was later followed by a stunning silk fuchsia wrap dress. If you do not own a DVF wrap dress I highly recommend buying at least one; they are a wardrobe staple. Easy to wear to work or dress up for a night on the town, the fuchsia silk wrap dress is stunning for fall.

Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2007 1

Lots of legs are being seen all over the Fall 2007 runway. Chic dresses are paired with matching coats that can easily be thrown together with another outfit or worn together. Elegantly stunning, the coat would be perfect for the chill of fall.

Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2007 2

The color palette for fall is simple but perfectly appealing. Large white polka dots on a black background along with the fuchsia I adore are a perfect match.

My own personal style; young, fashionable, and comfortable, are all emanated in this line. DVF brings workable fashion to Fall 2007 which will soon be seen hanging in my closet ;-)

Diane von Furstenberg Red Convertible Bag

Red was always a color I strayed from. Lately, I am drawn to it. It is so sexy and sultry. Lately I have also become literally obsessed with Diane von Furstenberg Wrap Dresses. The dresses are easy to throw on and very flattering. I wasn’t aware of the beautiful DVF accessories. The Diane von Furstenberg Red Convertible Bag combines slouchy with stylish. The body is ponyhair and the bag is trimmed in leather. There is a hammered brass ‘love knot’ which is based off out the DVF H. Stern Jewelry Collection. Pockets are what make this bag spacious and roomy- there are two side pockets and a front pocket with a diagonal flap closure. Pricey yes, beautiful yes – Buy it from DVF online for $1190.
