the reviews you were commenting on about the fabric being frayed were over 4 yeras old!!! did that occur to you?

PPB now has most bags with the glazed finish after 2009. The earlier ones didnt have the newer finish which was the complaint of most moms, so they changed their M.O.

I just purchased the PPB sholder bag with the glazed finish, but I am not due until October. I got a great deal on it from a boutique in my area. I feels sturdy to me, has numerous pockets, and the pull out changing pad. The fabric is water resistent, and seems easy to keep clean. I as well would never purchase one that could not be cleaned easily. Good luck.

I love the look of my PPB but the velcro on the front of the bag always snags my clothes when the bag is open so I can get diapers/toys out of the inside pocket.

I do not have a petunia pickle bottom bag…yet. I am looking into the possibility of getting one for our baby coming in June. I understand all the remarks about “fraying” and “not holding shape”, but they DO make certain designs of the bag with plasticky finish so they are wipeable and more sturdy and easy to clean…did that occur to anyone? I definitely don’t plan on getting one that is NOT wipeable…I feel like that was more of the problem for the two who were complainging.

I find Petunia Pickle Bottom bags to be the most impractical diaper bags ever! I have a Moroccan Roll Should Bag and the fabric frays everywhere. I can’t even use it anymore because everytime I do, it frays more and more! Their customer service department is awful and won’t let me return the diaper bag no matter what. They told me that because the fabric is brocade, I should have known that there would be some fraying! Stick with Coach or Kate Spade because their diaper bags are WAY better than Petunia’s!!!

like Carrie my PPB has snagged like crazy. I don’t even take it out of the car really. I was given this bag by my mother in law in pink lady I think it is? black with pink on it… you can’t tell if it’s dirty which is a plus, but I’d much rather carry my coach my husband got or the ju ju be my sister’s gave

I’m a big fan of PPB bags too. I’ve owned 2 PPB bags for the last 3 years and just recently had to have my Blossom Roll Shoulder bag cleaned which was only a minor inconvenience for all the compliments I get on it. And I was able to hand wash my Toddle Tote in the Velveteen since it’s more of an upholstery-type fabric. Like the previous poster, I was a bit skeptical about how the bags would hold up since they look so stylish, but I was surprised how much they held and how functional they are. I can’t wait to try out their new Cake bags – they look delicious!

I beg to differ.. I used to own a Petunia Pickle bag. It snagged like crazy and didnt hold its shape after a few months of use. It got all saggy. Plus I have to really lol because eay to clean and Petunia Pickle should not be in the same sentence. They are dry clean only! So unless you consider dry clean as easy to clean… then note Petunia bags are not so easy to take care of.
