This handbag is long and slender, just like we would all like to be. I keep working on the slender part, but I have the long part down . The simplicity of the Zac Posen Apple Clutch is alluring, with a hexagon shaped ring accent that acts as the focal point. A touch of modern, the grained leather bag sports contoured seams on the front and back with patent leather trim. Judith Leiber has designed special edition clutches for different years and events at Neiman Marcus and for this notable anniversary Leiber has brought the butterfly into the forefront. The Leiber Butterfly Celestrina Clutch is specially designed for Neiman Marcus’s centennial, spotlighting pink, lavender, lilac, and clear Austrian crystals. There is silver tone hardware throughout along with an optional chain shoulder strap. Showing that this piece is extravagant inside and out, there is 100% alligator lining and a double-sided mirror and matching coin purse. Many that own Leiber pieces see them as art pieces, which is what they are. While this clutch is a masterpiece, getting enough use for the price would be hard. A captivating shape from the house of Bottega, the Bottega Veneta Karung Fan Clutch is designed with exotic pewter karung skin. Karung is type of snakeskin which appears similar to lizard because of its tight scales. This fan-shaped clutch ultimately reminds me of a calzone. Yes, I am that person that thinks of food when I see a handbag. It is odd of me, but the shape actually has me salivating, which is also a good sign that it is time for a splurge day. A knot clasp fastening is found on the top along with meticulous intrecciato detailing around the sides. Open up to a mouth-full of bronze leather lining. A completely innovative design from BV that just happens to look like a tasty treat (note: I can’t help what foods my body thinks of when looking at objects).

As Neiman Marcus celebrates their 100th Anniversary, part of the party involves swank online offers. An array of Neiman Marcus exclusive products are dotting their website that can not be passed up. Extravagant in both price and materials, the Prada Croc Clutch manifests luxury with pink crocodile and gold-toned corner guards and logo. A removable shoulder strap is included. Sassy pink and exotic crocodile are a divine combination, but the price tag is out of this world. If luxury goods continue to exponentially increase as they are now, our pay checks need to coincide or else the designer market will suffer (so don’t do it to us!). Price should always be taken into account when buying a product. You may deem a product worthy or unworthy of its price tag when shopping. While some items are not 10 out of 10 on your list, the price appears so great that this 6 out of 10 product ends up going home with you. I am not head over heels for the Miu Miu Patent Fabric Clutch but the price is so amazing that I could see it making a great throw around clutch for the nights at the bar. Two of the major perks are the large size with a strap handle and the patent fabric matelasse which is easy to clean. I despise going to the bar and holding my bag or clutch on my lap the entire night, it gets annoying fast. This fabric is easy to wipe any spill off and the clutch is still cute. Most importantly, like I said, the price is great. Buy through Net A Porter for under $200.

For a dressy clutch without an absurd price, the Prada Raso Silver Clutch is a definite contender. While browsing Saks last week I saw this clutch in person and both Vlad and I absolutely loved it. The pleated silver satin is the perfect swoon-worthy gray color. The dimensions were perfect to have this be hand held, measuring 11″W X 6″H X 1″D. Yet for the life of me I could not figure out how to open this clutch. I pressed, pulled, shook, shimmied, and snapped, but nothing. Finally an SA came over and trying to make a sale told me it was very easy to open; “there is a side clasp that is easy to use”. That was a huge lie. It was not easy to use at first nor easy to find. But this does mean the clutch will not be bursting open easily or letting any of your goods slip out. The price is right and the design is beautiful. Via Saks for $695.
