Emilio Pucci Frame Bag

Apr 30, 2009 / Posted in Clutches by Shannon Mahoney.

Help me out here. Is this a hit or a miss? Usually I would ask that towards the end of my rant, but it is at the forefront of my mind. I came across the Emilio Pucci Frame Bag and I’ve done nothing but go back and forth between love it and hate it. It’s a fairly simple bag when you think about it. A simple silhouette adorned with multicolored silk. Here’s one of my many questions, what could you fit inside of it? Your key(s) and ID perhaps a credit card. Other than that not much else.

Then I move onto the colors. They are ok. Nothing too out there. I guess that can be good or bad. Good in the sense that you can wear it with a lot of outfits, bad in the sense that it doesn’t really add a whole lot of “WOW”. Do you agree? I do like the detachable bangle wristlet. I think it is cute and I am sure it will receive much more use than the bag itself. So tell me, am I missing something here? Buy through Saks for $995.

i am a lover of things pucci and could easily add this to my handbag wardrobe; however, i think the pattern is too large for the small size of this purse.

the exuberance (sp) of the print is lost because of the small surface and, therefore, could be seen as boring to some.

It’s a hit for me! If the dimensions are really 8 x 8 (according to the Saks website, then I’m sure it could hold a cell phone and lip gloss as well.

    What!!??????????????
    WTF!?????????????

for $1000 plus tax this is a total DISASTER
and that huge ring is practically as large as the bag itself
for silk tiny purse to ask for that kind of money
they must be smoking weed there at Pucci home office

I love the shape of it. The pattern cheapens it though, particularly because it resembles patterns I saw in tourist stalls throughout SE asia.

I love it! Love that you can wear it as a wristlet using the bangle. I am a clutch girl and think this is fab.

It’s cute and a little different. Eye-catching enough I guess you could say. At that price though I would pass.

I’m not a fan of 80’s fashion and this bag’s print really reminds me of something out of the 80’s.
Plus, I can’t believe that they are charging $1000 for something so small and the materials aren’t even anything special. A Miss for me.

Super cute! I’m not sure I have too many places to wear something like that. Also the price is much higher than I would pay for it. But super cute!

I think it’s in between (but edging towards the hit). I’m an everyday purse person, so there’s a negative. But simple style, with cute print.. Not very useful, but cute.

I am a Pucci fan and though at first glance don’t Love this bag, I can see it rocking with the right outfit. I don’t know, I see it with a simple black dress out for the evening. I don’t see it with a jeans and t outfit. It has to be the right person, the right outfit. There’s a bag for everyone out there :)
Like another post said, it’s cute and it’s different. It’s not a bag for everyone.

Perhaps for $50.00 it would be worth it and if it really has the 8″ x 8″ size.. it is just right for some small items. Id slots inside would help and even a cell phone inner pocket. As for the print.. not bad like the other post said. With the right outfit. Even just jeans and a white top would go with this and sandals.

I think it’s completely adorable! LOVE the style & the print & the detachable wristlet. Unfortunately, i do not think i have a spare $995 sitting around to blow on such fancies…but i will check the couch cushions just to be sure…

I’d say, very Pucci! Staying true to the brand image is big; if I was a Puccu girl – I’d be all over it!
