Alexander McQueen Neon Panel Clutch Over the weekend, my mom, sister and I were working on songs that we want the DJ to play at our wedding. I actually love 80′s and early 90′s music. I specifically remember telling my mom when I was little that I would always listen to the ‘current’ music, never to the oldies, and be the coolest grown-up. I have already failed at that I guess. But there is something about the neon colors of the 80′s that is entirely electrifying.

I have no use for the Alexander McQueen Neon Panel Clutch and it would be worn for dress up occasions, but a small part of me looks at it and says Rock On! This clutch sports every aspect of the 80′s that we typically think of in our minds; neon, geometric shapes, patent leather, and totally out there. For the next 80′s themed party, if you have a budget that is sky high, I would totally suggest this clutch. Otherwise, it is more of a fun piece to look at but I am not about to buy it. Order through Net A Porter for $1,070.

Wow! That is a truly outrageous little number! It really reminds me of “Thriller” for some reason…….

I would imagine the market for $1100 clutches to be self limited but really how much use does any clutch get unless one sticks to something black that is pulled out for all occasions — or metallic.

I don’t think the market was ever intended to be people who need to look at the price of something or who amortize the cost of a purchase by the number of times it can be worn.

Completely stripped of price considerations, it’s a fabulous accessory.

I absolutely love that color! I mean, talk about impractical but I bet it would go great with a black dress, and maybe a few other bright accessories to help it stand out. I wouldn’t buy it for that price, but it’s nice to look at!

Ooh this would look so hot with a pair of liquid leggings! I never thought I was into the whole 80s style, but your childhood habits die hard and my love of neon lives on… I guess I’m a closet 80s lover!

I tad too 80′s for me… maybe if it was a different color I would feel differently. But the bright pink and black… brings me back to 1986! hahaha

yeah@ only if your budget is sky high! Currently I can’t imagine spending that much money on a trend piece that will be used only a handful of times

    I absolutely love it. :)

I love, collect and use clutches more than any other type of bag and I love colour with black (sorry Trinny & Susannah!) and geometric designs.

I particularly love bright pink with black – I remember, as a very small child (3, or 4 at the most), being at my next door neighbours’ house and feeling extremely bored, as usual, as my mother and her friend chatted…

So, I looked around for something to do (they didn’t have children, so the choice was fairly limited, as there were obviously no toys) and (rather worryingly, looking back!) my eyes alighted on a book of matches, which I opened to reveal a full set of black card matchsticks with bright pink heads and I remember thinking that it was the most beautiful colour combination I’d ever seen! In fact, I couldn’t believe that any combination of colours could possibly be so vivid.

It was quite a seminal moment! LOL!

The only thing I’m not quite so ecstatic about is the patent leather; I think I’d prefer it in nappa.

But, apart from that, it’s brilliant (literally!)! :D

Blech that is not nice looking at all, and looks so awkward to carry around

I love Alexander McQueen, he’s sort of fearless, in a sense.

I would definitely love this clutch to death if it ever found it’s way into my wardrobe. Fabulous!

I would wear it with something very plain to be the it piece i like it for some weird reason

  • Emillie

I love this clutch. It looks very interesting. I like the colours too.

Yuck. And the price is insane.

I think this bag is totally cool. I think it would add some pop to a little black dress. The price tag is a little pricey for me but its a nice bag.

I love it! I love the hot pink and black and its crazy shape! I’d love to take it out with a black dress and sky high heels.

  • Kendra

This is hot! I wish I had ones of these so bad. It would look so amazing with a black dress. (fb)
