Jennifer Lawrence Miss Dior Handbag Ads (2)

We’re huge fans of actress Jennifer Lawrence around the PurseBlog offices, and she’s having quite the year. The Hunger Games movie did great at the box office, she consistently chooses red carpet looks that are both beautiful and interesting, and, oh yeah, she won an Oscar last night for a movie in which she got to make out with Bradley Cooper; it’s just win after win for Ms. Lawrence. Somehow, she’s also managed to stay so frank and funny that we can’t even hate her for any of her good fortune.

With all the Dior that Jennifer wears on the red carpet, including to the Academy Awards, it was only a matter of time before she showed up for the brand in some kind of official capacity. These Willy Vanderperre-lensed ads for the Dior Miss Dior Shoulder Bag make their official debut in magazines next month, but naturally, Dior released them for public scrutiny a few days before Lawrence attends the Academy Awards – that’s just sensible marketing. The ads themselves pass with flying colors; Jennifer looks beautiful, the Dior suit she’s wearing is super chic and the feel of the ads matches Raf Simons’ famous penchant for modern minimalism. A+, would view again.

I certainly love Jennifer Laurence as an actress, but *holy* Photoshop!

    (not that I’d expect differently)

I agree Vlad, I think they actually Photoshopped her nose in that one pic. FOR SHAME, MISS DIOR! If you have to Photoshop Jennifer Lawrence, then who is exempt?!

i have to agree photoshop can add beauty and sometimes add a sense of false reality the images seem to have more the elements of a wax model i mean the leather on the bag looks more natural. the barbie doll complexion is………. distracting !!! that said Dior is flawless and so….

I actually think this photoshop job took away from Ms. Laurence’s beauty…honestly, with the exception of that last shot she usually looks prettier in paparazzi photos coming from the gym than these ads. I agree with the poster below-Mila’s ads were far superior, although I don’t think she’s any better looking than Jennifer Laurence in real life.
