Dior Shrunken Cannage Hobo

Dior Shrunken Cannage Hobo I am no huge fan of Dior bags, normally. It’s not that they’re not beautiful, because they are. They’re distinctive in style, expertly designed, and very chic. They’re usually very structured and a bit stiff, though, and that’s just not my style, so I rarely stop to look at them. What caught my eye today, though, was the Dior Shrunken Cannage Hobo. It’s more my speed – a slouchy, soft hobo in a vivid, solid color. What initially stopped me is that the color is so beautiful and glowing for cold weather. It’s totally appropriate as a winter neutral and the shade is so warm that I can’t stop looking at it. What made me have to tell you guys about it, though, is that it’s made out of lamb leather – maybe it’s just me, but I took one look at that bag and assumed it was made of silk or satin. When have you ever seen leather have a sheen like that, people? I don’t know how they dyed or sealed the material to make it look like that, but whatever they did, it was an inspired choice. I’d love to see the same bag in a purple or wine color as well – how gorgeous would that be? Buy through eLuxury for $1,375.

Hi… I have seen the Dior Soft Lambskin Hobo in Mustard and it’s reaally beautiful. I’m wondering if this Cannage Shrunken Hobo is about the same as the Lambskin Hobo? And what do you call this color? It’s mustardy, only more towards brown.

eLuxury calls this color “Luggage,” so perhaps its a bit more brown than the mustard that you saw. The Cannage hobo is made of lambskin, so if it had the same embroidered pattern, they very well may have been the same bag – some websites are so bad at calling bags by their proper names. Where did you see the other bag?

    Thanks for the prompt reply.

I saw the lambskin hobo in a Dior boutique. It’s gorgeous but it’s something that I would only wear occasionally because of the delicate lambskin. So, beats the purpose of having a hobo which I would love to wear daily!

hi, I’m italian, I live in Milan so I always have a first hand vision on designers…I love bags but I find Dior “Old” and “mouldy” (sorry I’m a Gucci fan—> their bags are very comfortable to take…and anter the genius of Tom Ford thanks God we have Frida now) and this color is really terrible. I think no italian woman would ever wear it…

I also thought this was satin when I first saw it. Can’t believe it’s lambskin. When I was about 5, I got a pair of lambskin gloves and have been a fan ever since. I agree that purple or wine would be gorgeous!
