Check Out Dior’s Cruise 2016 Bags, Straight from the Runway

Right now, there’s a little film festival going on in Cannes that you might have heard of, but before that started up for another year, Christian Dior used the picturesque French Riviera city as the backdrop for its Cruise 2016 runway show. Even if the bags weren’t notable (they are), it’d be hard to dislike anything in that context.

The only new shape to emerge from this show was a bucket bag, which shouldn’t surprise anyone who’s been watching the market over the past few seasons–easy, casual buckets are here to stay, and even brands that have resisted are starting to realize they should get on board to capture consumer interest. These buckets, of course, come with signature Dior details.

The rest of the bags are in line with what fans have come to expect from the brand, although I didn’t find myself as thrilled while paging through this collection as I have been when seeing the previous couple for the first time. Let us know what you think in the comments. (Although sign me up for one of those cerulean Dioramas, of course.)
