Sure, some of you may be totally over the Chloe Paddington, but this craze is still going on to this day. There is something about the chunky hardware, the thick leather, and that extremely heavy lock that makes all the world want this handbag. Face it, this is a hit bag, not just a seasonal trend. If you ask anyone in the fashion industry they will let you know that the Chloe Paddington became a staple in the handbag world, bringing in millions of followers world wide.

A slight tinge of gold is the ideal way to add metallic shine without overpowering your handbag, your outfit, or you. Designed with a touch of burnished golden leather and set off with brown leather, the limited edition Chloe Heloise Cherry Bag adds just the right touch to a simple design. The Heloise is based on a simple shape design, so small additions on the bag help it stand out.
Are you ga-ga for green or is this green handbag gross? The Chloe Audra Patent Satchel is designed with shocking green patent leather and is finished off with silvertone hardware. Contrasting trim adds a dimension to the bag, as does the front pocket with turn-lock closure. There are double top shoulder straps with an 8″ drop. On the inside, like many Chloe bags, there is canvas lining and a zip pocket.
To all of the Paddington carriers out there, just admit it, your bag weighs a ton but you continue to carry it with the lock because, after all, the lock is what makes the bag. It is true, I do it too. I shift my body weight from side to side, move the bag from one arm to the next, all in an effort to make the bag feel less heavy but still look good.
This clutch is a different look from the house of Chloe. Typically chunky hardware and sturdy leather come to mind when I think of a Chloe handbag. But the Chloe Python Clutch shows a different side of Chloe; with a deco-inspired theme and geometric golden hardware top. The shape of this clutch would make anyone do a double take to re-check the designer label.
My mom made her clothes growing up, because her mom made her clothes when she was growing up. My mom even made our Halloween costumes for a few years, then realized the beauty of buying store bought costumes and threw away her sewing machine (not literally). I never learned to make clothes. I can’t even hem pants, but it is on my to-learn list.
Chloe is well known for their heavy leather, chunky accessories, and paddlocks but now they would like to break into a new dimension. Braided leather. We all know that Bottega Veneta lives on top of the world with their woven leather, but can Chloe break in at all? The Chloe Heloise Bag features a stunning shade of taupe leather with gold tone hardware and a chunky braided top handle.
So many have gone gag-ga over the Chloe Paddington bag, from the leather rendition to the croc. For Fall 2007, Chloe has released the Chloe Jacquard Paddington that is more affordable and made with Jacquard canvas and trimmed in leather. The price point is right under $1000 at Luisa via Roma.
What are your thoughts? Fab or Drab?
While some parts of the world dress up more than the folk in the USA, I find the casual wear perfectly fitting for my lifestyle. Chasing a 3 year old around means I need to be able to move quick and not worry about any dirt, food, spit, etc stain. So many think that we as Americans are sloppy, but I prefer to label us business attire challenged.
The Paddington craze created chaos among those searching for one and the lucky who nabbed one feeling a bit of shoulder pressure. The craze is still there, the supply is just much higher. I myself have two Paddington’s; one satchel and one tote. Chloe proves they are a receptive brand, taking in criticism and using it constructively. Love the lock but hate the weight of it?
