This bag is gorgeous! I saw this bag at Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. The leather is soft and it’s a style you can carry for a long time. I hate trendy bags you spend a fortune on and end up only carrying it for few months. This is not like that. I love Chanel bags!

I just bought this fabulous bag at the Chanel store on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach and its true it was $1,595. However, for this quality and size bag it is a bargain price compared to the other current black bags like the Caviar and punched design and such a perfect size. The double C monagram is stamped on both ends of the bag and also has a good size chrome pull that looks like a piece of jewelry. It is soooo soft and the large flat quilt is spectacular! I love it and will have it forever. Also learned that for $100 - $150 depending on degree of renovation needed, Chanel will restore your bag, refinish, replace hardware etc. to its orginal new state.

I just got it today at Neimans SF, not with the quilts though, just the smooth leather in black. It was 1750 before tax - perhaps the quilted is slightly less expensive? Or is it the size difference? Small vs. Medium?http://www.purseblog.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_question.gif

I also just got this purse at the Honolulu store and I LOVE it! My first Chanel bag and certainly not the last one I hope. It was $1600 before tax.
