Celine Trapeze Bag

I was certain I had written specifically about the Celine Trapeze bag on PurseBlog, but I haven’t. It seems I spend time writing posts it my head and they never make it to my virtual paper. The Celine Trapeze came in after the never-ending hype of the Celine Luggage Tote and has only helped pick up speed (along with the rest of the Celine train) since then.

Let’s break down the Celine Trapeze and see what everyone is buzzing about (and trust me, the buzz is worth it). While the Luggage Tote became recognizable for it’s face-like front, the Trapeze is known for clean, sleek lines and extra-wide gusset sides. The flap front adds dimensionality, and, in some of my favorite Trapeze renditions, multiple colors and materials are used to bring this bag to life. The top handle has ample space to carry in your arm, and while you could fling it over your shoulder, majority just carry it in their hand or crux of their arm.

The most important aspect to note is the beauty in the simplicity of the design. So many bags have additions that distract from the original lines and style, but the Trapeze doesn’t need anything more. Price for the Celine Trapeze starts at $2,300, inquire via Kirna Zabete.

Celine Trapeze is perfect. I have one, and feel that maybe getting another one is okay (when you’re trying to justify a purchase..). It’s roomy, I can either hand-carry it or use the strap on my shoulder. I even carry it as a messenger bag when I travel. I think the design is perfect! Sleek, minimalist, only play with colors and materials, and at the same time functional. Pretty but non-functional bags usually end up sitting at the corner of a closet collecting dust!

Celine Trapeze is perfect. I have one, and feel that maybe getting another one is okay (when you’re trying to justify a purchase..). It’s roomy, I can either hand-carry it or use the strap on my shoulder. I even carry it as a cross-body bag when I travel. I think the design is perfect! Sleek, minimalist, only play with colors and materials, and at the same time functional. Pretty but non-functional bags usually end up sitting at the corner of a closet collecting dust! So I guess, getting another one is indeed okay.

I read an article where Phoebe Philo (my new girl crush) discussed building a signature wardrobe and updating with colors and materials. I think this bag represents that philosophy perfectly. She also talked about the world not needing more bobs and bits filling up landfills and cupboards. I couldn’t agree more.

I admire Phoebe Philo as well. I think her design of Trapeze is a combination between femininity and masculinity. It’s beautiful and functional. It represents the ‘woman’ perfectly as a soft creature but strong at the same time. Some people may see the front flap and the zipper as a problem, but I don’t see them that way. I see them as a perfect security system comes in beautiful harmony. Hehehe, am being too much, but what can I say? Am so in love with Trapeze.

Is a celine bag good investment. Or will it be out of style pretty soon? considering buying this or chanel..and since I’m a student I don’t have money to buy new bags after trends

That’s exactly what I was asking myself! I’m planning to buy my next handbag and I’m confused between Chanel & Celine! I’m not sure how long this Celine fever is gonna last. Chanel is undoubtedly a timeless bag that you can carry for ages and never regret buying. Honestly I’m leaning towards getting a Chanel. Then again I never know..

get the chanel. this bag while cute, doesn’t have a structure that will stand the test of time or for everyday.

the trapeze is BEAUTIFUL but only when it’s new. pictures of sagging trapezes make me sad

somehow this bag doesn’t work for me. It is too thick and holds too many things that a single attachment to the front flap is just impractical. I couldn’t unzip it without worrying the stuff inside is going to spill out, and for the same reason it took time to zip it up. I do adore the color blockings, but the overall leather quality does not justify its price tag.

Cut off those ridiculous gussets and it would be perfect. I can’t stand them.
